  1. Is anyone else having problems getting to their account page on the NCL.com website?   Have not been able to get in since yesterday afternoon.   My son is having same issue?   I have had this issue before but only for a few minutes.  Just wondering about it.  Will be in touch with NCL tech support on Monday if not resolved.

I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed your reviews on your various trips.    I have not yet completed them all but will do so.  I also wanted to say I appreciate your pictures especially those around Wenatchee.   I grew up in Wenatchee/East Wenatchee and currently live in FLorida so when I see pictures from the Northwest, I am thrilled.  The photo of entering Wenatchee certainly brought memories of the hours that as a teenager, we would drive up and down the Avenue to see who was out and what they were doing.  The pictures of Turtle Rock and Columbia River bring back the memories of when Rocky Reach Dam was built and Turtle Rock became the island it is today and Stevens Pass and the Cascade Tunnel (been through it several times)

As a child, my family boated and waterskied around Turtle rock as well as picked huckleberries near both the old Cascade Tunnel as well as the new one.

Anyway, I just wanted to say your pictures bring bac fond memories and I appreciate you showing them.  I left Wenatchee in 1966 but have managed to get back every few years.  Each time there has been so many changes that the Wenatchee, I knew really does not exist any more.

    Thanks again for sharing .

  3. Although we have taken several cruises, we have not done a Back to Back on NCL. We are booked to do this in October. I have some questions about this.

    1. Is there a number to call with NCL that allows you to link these 2 cruises as can be done with other cruise lines.

    2. Can you check in for both cruises on the first cruise or do you have to disembark (go through immigration, etc.) and then recheck in.

3 . If you are in same cabin for both cruises, can you leave luggage in room after first cruise or do you need to send it out and then recheck it.

Any answers to above questions will be greatly appreciated and any other helpful insight as to B2B with NCL would be welcomed.

  4. Thanks to all that have responded to my question. I have sent an email directly to ViaRail. Perhaps I have been reading the schedules wrong and didn't see where there was checked baggage. I do appreciate your help and do look forward to visiting the 3 cities mentioned.

  5. We have booked a cruise from Quebec City. Our plans are to fly into Toronto and spend a couple of days, then onto Montreal (via train) and spend a couple of days and then onto Quebec City (via train).

I have looked at the webpage for ViaRail Canada and it states that checked baggage is not allowed on several of the trains. I have not been able to determine which trains allow checked baggage and this is a service that we will need as our luggage will definitely be too large to carry on.

Do you have any idea as to which trains do allow checked baggage. I would hate to miss out on these cities because I cannot check my luggage on a train and I do not want to catch a flight between each of the cities.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions on this issue

  6. US Customs does not open at YVR until 0500 so you will be just fine. To expedite things a bit I would pick up a US Customs form from the customer service desk on the ship and have it completed before you arrive at the airport.

Thanks Putterdude for your answer and thanks for the suggestion of picking up the customs form before arriving at the airport.

  7. With this talk of needing to be at the airport 2 -2 1/2 hours before flight departs, I have a question. How busy is the airport early in the AM?

We have a 6:20am flight and the hotel where we are staying has a shuttle. However, the first shuttle in the AM is at 4:45. Would we be okay with that timeframe or should I be looking for a hotel that has 24 hour shuttle service?

If I need to change hotets, any suggestions for a hotel would be appreciated. I currently have a reservation at the Marriott Airport.

    Thanks
