  1. I’ve been hiking in Skagway for many years. Depending on what type of hiking 🥾 you want to do. Lower Dewey lake is a easy hike, Upper Reid Falls is moderate. I would say (4-5 hours) round trip for me last year. Upper Dewey Lake is a difficult hike but we’ll worth it if your in good physical condition!! Amazing view of the lake and surrounding snow cap mountains ⛰️!! My favorite place to get away from everyone and just be at peace ✌️ with nature.. Google these for more information. Anywhere you can hike in Alaska will be a treat to enjoy!! Good luck 🍀

  2. My recommended trial is Deer Mountain Trailhead 👍. It’s a little walk from port or take a taxi. If the weather is good with no low clouds ☁️ then definitely do it!! Amazing views during the hike and once at the top you can see the ships 🚢 in port and town. It’s a ways up to the top so bring water bottle, camera, and enjoy Alaskas beautiful scenery.. Good luck 👍

  3. Hi 👋 I’m Michael solo again (in divorce process) going solo back to Alaska in August on Majestic Princess 🚢. Different being single on a cruise compared to a couple together. You have no one to share your experience or memories with that your in a relationship with:( . Alaska is my place to regroup myself after a divorce and get a fresh start once again🙏. I ve cruised solo several times and always had a great time meeting new people!! Live life today for yourself first and if romance 🥰 finds you while on a cruise 🚢 then enjoy the moment for it could turn into a lifetime of love ❤️

  4. Deer Mountain in Ketchican! I did it last year and it was a great challenge with a greater reward go to and getting to the top!! Granted you got nice weather. To speed things up take a taxi to the trail or I just walked there instead. I promise you will enjoy it!!

    Enjoy Alaska!!

  5. Prices are cheaper in May especially going alone! I don't mind the cool weather at all!!! I just put on my shorts, boots, and a thermal top and go hiking for hours on end. Hiking gets the blood flowing making me really warm. Usually take off the thermal top. Counting the days!! Looking forward to meet someone who enjoys hiking and Alaska for its raw natural beauty!!!:)

  6. I'm in my mid 40's who by my next cruise to Alaska Star Princess May 28th , will be single again(divorce finalized):(. Did this same cruise last year alone but married and it wasn't the same alone. Would like to meet someone to share these memories with. Any ladies out there willing to be my Miss Alaska cruise buddy then inquire within please. LOVE Alaska and the outdoors. If your active and adventurous like going on a hike in Skagway, Glacier seaplane tour in Juneau, and Ketchican??? Anyways enough said. Looking forward to cruising again. Enjoy life to its fullest each day you rise.

    God Bless!!!:D

  7. Hi,

A little late but I might as well ask. Going on Star princess southbound this Saturday and want to know if anyone has in port (Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan) got salmon shipped home and how much should I expect to pay??? Which port and where to go would we very helpful. Or I could always ask the locals but want the best prices!! Thanks!!

  8. If you get to see Hubbard Glacier it is an amazing site!!!!! WOWWWWWWW!!! Such a beauty of nature to give us this opportunity t see it up close. Last year in may we where aboard Crown Princess and this is what we saw!! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!!

  9. It's a no brainer if you enjoy your alcohol with out the worry of the bill. Pay the $$$ upfront and a single person can easily drink there shares worth! For me I usually will always get the drink package if I haven't already got it included in my cruise booking. Once you get onboard and know that pretty much all your drinks are covered you can relax and just enjoy those cocktails!!!

On one or our recent cruise aboard Celebrity I had 94 drinks!!!!! That does include fresh orange juice, Gatorades, coffee drinks, etc.... So I more then got my fair share. Live life to it's fullest everyday your alive and drink up while your on vacation!!! Captain's driving the ship not you!!!Drink up!!!!

  10. Hi,

Last year was our first time to finally do the Alaska cruise. We at first booked an inside room because we thought the same as others, Save money for excursions etc.... But my wife got a call from princess to upgrade us to a balcony for $400 more and it was the best thing to ice cream on a hot summers day!!!!! It was so nice to just wake up at 4am in the morning and step outside and watch the beautiful scenery every day!!!AMAZING!!!!!!:D

The convenience to use your own bathroom or warm up is right there as my wife and friend did. I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone especially on your first cruise up to Alaska get a balcony if you can afford it!! I'm going on the Star princess this Saturday to relive the cruise we did last year!!!!! We have been on over 30 cruises and this by far is the most amazing, beautiful, and spectacular place I have been. BALCONY all the way!!! Enjoy it!! I know I'm going to very soon. God bless!!!!:D

  12. Hi all,

I know some of you might know this. Do you know what time the gym opens on Carnival ships?

I have been on previous cruiselines and they have opened at 6:00 am "officially" and you did not have to wait for doors to be unlocked.:D

Was recently on Princess and their gym did not open until 8:00 am, and you had to wait for the spa person to unlock the door. UGH!!

    Thanks for anyone help!!
