Looking forward to your review of “the good, the bad and the ugly”.  Hoping most is good as I’m sailing on Voyager next month.

I haven’t cruised since February 2020, just booked a Voyager cruise for November and am trying to find out what has changed.

According to RCCL’s FAQ, guests are still allowed to bring onboard two bottles of wine or champagne per cabin. Can they be in checked luggage or must they be carried on?  
 

i know ship can only serve alcohol with Texas stamps until we’ve left Texas waters but does this have any impact on wine brought onboard from out of state?

I’m aware I now get 4 drink vouchers each day as Diamond but are there are any other major changes or tips I should know about?  

Anyone know what happens to points redeemed for OBC on a cruise that’s later cancelled?  Some of the points were due to expire. Would be nice if BoA extended the expiration date but I don’t see that happening. 
 

OP, I have used points in the past for free cruise, free companion fare and OBC.  Now I use a different card that offers better perks.

Hmm... well I know I’ve seen the metallic dog and, since it’s the only Voyager class ship I’ve sailed, is it Navigator?

Well I got it straight from the head guy at Royal Caribbean (after I inserted my SeaPass card):

A very low $49 per day for my Harmony December 6, 2020 cruise.  $89 for those early 2021 sailings is ridiculous.  If Royal wants to bring in some more cash flow now, they should really offer bargain priced drink packages now on those cruises.

Regular inside dropped to 916 plus the 159 taxes.

Even though they are sold out, you MAY still be able to get a price drop on the solo. No harm in calling Royal, telling them you noticed price drop on insides, and ask (nicely) about getting a price drop on the solo.  In the past, I’ve gotten price drops on sold out triple occupancy cabins when I saw price drops on double occupancy cabins and called them.  

FWIW, I loved the solo cabin I had on Brilliance.  Yes, regular insides are bigger (although a lot of that is taken up by the second bed), but I was only in it to sleep, shower and get dressed.  My cabin had more than ample storage (suitcase fit under the bed). I found the location of the cabin great. While located right off the centrum on deck 4, it was nice and quiet located in a private hallway for just the 9 cabins there.

Well I splurged for a suite on this Oasis class cruise thinking Coastal Kitchen would make it worth the money. Boy was I ever wrong!  

They gave me a box of lasagna for dinner, told me that I had to cook it myself and that  i would have to supply my own meat “protein” - shocking!!!

While the extension date is still not showing in the account info page, this is what is showing when I go to the Voyagers Club page, so any of you that had 2021 expirations should be okay.

The good stuff ~ two-ply quilted TP!!! 😀 But the payout stinks. Three cherries 🍒 only paid out with 2 squares!  My cruise is going down the crapper! 😡  

So happy Ukigirl is getting the Royal treatment she deserves  on her cruise and hoping she will let us know about more of her port stops and excursions.

Wow!  You picked a great ship and I’m really enjoying your review.

I don’t know what I was thinking but I strayed from cruising Royal and am stuck on the Pool Algae Queen.  🤢 What a rust bucket!   My waiter is nowhere near Elbo’s caliber and there is no pool boy to attend to my needs.  AND THE CASINO HAS ONLY ONE, YES ONE, SLOT MACHINE!!!  

Thank goodness they at least carry one of my favorite beers since I’m not a fan of Corona (even with lime).
