We were Jubilee early January and I could not figure out what the point was in having the windows behind if it was never opened.
Never been on the other two Excel ships but was wondering what was different about the sandwiches on Mardi Gras? The sandwiches at beach buns were one of the better options when sailing

Was on Jubilee 1/6 sailing and the room steward would ask if you wanted paper or if the app was ok for the fun times. They did have them available at java blue also.
Not sure about the maps you are referring to but the hub app also has the ship deck maps

Thanks for the pictures.... we will be getting on when you are getting off. 😀 Been watching the youtube videos but as someone mentioned it is nice to have this type of review as well.
Looking forward to more.

Will be her January 6th. Been watching the youtube stuff but was surprised nothing really on here all week.

Is it worth the $ compared to a similar land experience... not usually from my experiences, they usually seemed to be over priced. As someone else mentioned I could see $30 Range for steakhouse/seafood, and $15-20 for others.
We do usually go to a couple of specialty dining options during a 7 day. My only issue with the main dining room is it usually takes so long. I would prefer to keep it to an hour, but MDR usually is about 1.5 which is usually a factor in choosing another place.

A 12 ft (does not have to be heavy duty) would work, 15 ft optimal.
Thank You

Thank you! And I always bring my own extension cord, and usually run it across the ceiling to the vanity with small magnetic hooks to keep it out of everyone's way.
This thread is exactly what I was looking for. Going to be on Jubilee 1/6 and wondered how long the extension cord should be. I was trying to avoid bringing a long heavy duty one for yard use.
How long do you estimate it needs to be to run it on the celling like you mention?
Thanks

Same here, wish I could go but a little more than I want to do for a day trip. We will be on her January 6th. Can't wait!

January 6 2024. 3rd sailing since the original 5 cruises or so were canceled. Before this the 'newest' ship we have been on was probably 4-5 years old at the time.
-
I know there is a way to send someone on the cruise a gift from their choices but I am not easily finding a way to do it. Any suggestions on where to look?
-
We are booked 1/6/24 which I thought was going to be a good balance of brand new & working the kinks out. Now I am hoping that we won't get canceled with another delay and that a chunk of the the kinks will be worked out within the first two cruises.

The made to order omelets /eggs/ oatmeal / grits area is not well labeled and literally above a burger condiments section at the end of the serving counter, which I walked right past on day 2.
Niksmom tip….. walk to the end of the serving area, place your egg order, drop your number off at a table, and then get into the beginning of the hot food serving area to get any other items , and your eggs will likely be at your table by the time you are seated! 😉
“Special sauce” ???? Hmmmm…..I’d need full disclosure on the ingredients before I’d be willing to try this……🤢
Thanks for the updates and pictures!

Bummer your boarding day wasn't good. We had no problems. Highly recommend parking at the port next time. We thought we would give it a try a couple of weekends ago. Hands down best parking experience ever.
Check out pics and my review of the parking.
So some friends that are on this sailing decided to park at the new terminal, they said it was $168 for the week. We have cruised out of Galveston ummm at least 8 times and I always remember it being about $10-12 a day for the other parking so I was kind of shocked at the price. That being said if the terminal parking was only $20-30 more and easier to deal with I think I would be ok paying the premium. Currently our next cruise is Carnival in about a year so not sure when I will get to experience this cool terminal

Thanks for the updates. Will be nice to tell my friends that I know a little about their cruise already when they get back. 😄

horrendous, I’m sorry to say. Pack some extra patience . It’s been years since I’ve sailed out of Galveston so before the new terminal , and on a smaller ship. I’ll have more coming up on this!my port boarding experiences have been pretty much limited to Miami
and Fort Lauderdale most recently, where the process is sooooo efficient, even after Covid.
Wow, surprised to hear this. I have a group of friends on this sailing and they texted and were super impressed with boarding and said it only took about 15 minutes.
Sorry yours was rough.

Got a question on how this works. It is a prepaid amount that will go towards any purchases at a bar, correct? Now say you have $1 left on the 'card' and you buy a $10 drink what will it do after that? The rest go to your sail and sign, or what? I've got a group going and they are thinking that this might keep them from spending to much at the bar by having a preset amount that can be spent and then it will tell them 'your out of bar money' type of deal. I am thinking it's just applying an amount towards your bar bill at the beginning so it's not such a big bill at the end. Anyone with experience/knowledge on how this works?

Hi, I am on the dream in a few weeks on the 5 day and am trying to find out what time you will be able to depart the ship if the schedule shows arriving at 10:00 A.M.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

We only ate the Buffet on formal night and they had some of the same food selections the dining room had including prime rib. My husband said the prime rib was 2 out of 5 stars.
thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to share all this!
Curious if you went to the buffet at all for dinner and if the choices somewhat mirrored what was on the daily menu?

Yipee! As long as you can open them up, it's all good....Yes I can get you one for each day. It won't be all at once, as it's kind of a chore for me. But I'll get you all of them....just not today.
Thanks for the effort, sounds like there are a handful of people looking for these. 😊
