  1. CHRISTMAS DAY IN ANTIGUA 2024?

Will there be anything to do?  Will there be taxis at port to take us to a beach?

Or should we just treat it like a sea day?

Any idea how Enchanted Princess handles Christmas Day? Special activities, Special foods.....

    THANKS!

  2. Thanks so much philv,

We are traveling with 6 or maybe 8 people so we were kind of thinking a car might be a better option and give us the flexibility to change beaches when we wanted to . Did you stay at Trunk Bay all day or experience other beaches? Do you remember the taxi company name? I may be able to shoot them an email to ask if they have any mini vans or large SUV's

    Thanks again!

  3. Hi, We will be on the Enchanted Princess in St. Thomas from 10AM-10PM. I think we dock at Crown??? Can someone verify that please?

We stayed on ST several years ago and rented a car so we are familiar with driving in both locations. There will be 6 of us traveling together. No littles.

    Questions:

For one day, would it be smarter to rent car in ST and then car ferry to SJ or take people ferry to SJ and rent car there?

I noticed most car rentals are not open late for returns.  Tips on who to rent from is appreciated.

We would like to be off ship as long as possible. We want to swim/snorkle at several SJ beaches. Your opinions about best way to spend the day in USVI is greatly appreciated.

I look forward to your insight.

    Thanks

  4. Hi 3Shelaghs,

We are going to fly into LHR, spend a few nights in Bath and embark in Southampton..

We thought about catching train from LHR to Bath and then relying on public trans. for our days in Bath and then taking the train to Southampton. But this may be an easier solution,

Did you pick up the car at LHR? Where did you do the drop off? Thanks for the info.

  5. Is there a shuttle / train / shared car from the airport (British Airways) to Bath City Center? I did get a quote from Blackberry for that route, it was priced at 234 GBP.. That's quite a bit for 2 people, looking for a more cost-effective option. Also, I don't have a Bath hotel picked out yet, so any help with that is greatly appreciated too.

    Thanks in Advance!

  6. Hi,

We will dock in Newcastle in early September from 8A-8P.  It looks like an ideal city to just walk around for the day. Not sure where the dock is in relation to the city center or sights. If anyone has  tips/ideas on what to see or do I'd love to see them. Any good tours available?

    THANKS!

  7. San Juan is a very pretty city. The architecture is beautiful. If you are big walkers then I would just walk off the ship & explore the city.  To the right is a "Town square", when we were there (on a Sunday) there were lot's of local vendors to browse.  To the left is the city wall, really very nice. Good place to explore lots of shops & sights. You will be on the top of the wall & you can walk down to waterside from there. It was a city that I would like to re-visit some day.

  8. San Juan on a Sunday?

Hi All, We will be arriving NCL Sky on Sunday May 22nd and be there from 8-4. We have never visited San Juan and look forward to exploring Old Town & try to see some forts.

I saw that the La Fortaleza doesn't have tours on Sunday, are there other places that will be closed?

Do we just walk off the ship & head towards Old Town or do we take a Taxi/Bus/Trolley?

All tips are welcome & appreciated!!!

    Thanks

  9. Our cruise ends in Auckland and we'll be taking a flight to Cairns at 6:00 p.m. that same day (mid December). I would imagine we will be off the ship by 8:00 or 9:00 am. Can anyone suggest the best way to tour Auckland with luggage and then get to the airport?  Any idea how early we need to get to the airport since we will be flying to another country?

    Thanks so much in advance!

  10. We used RIL on our trip to Italy and had a FANTASTIC time with everyone we encounterd from RIL. Jany was AWESOME. I don't think she ever sleeps and is always very professional and friendly. The Rome In Limo drivers & guides all earn their money, they are fantastic and do not mind talking you just where you want to go. They will give you alot of information before arriving to a site and then will pick you up at a selected time and go on to the next site.

Do not try to see Italy on your own when you can get a few others together and enjoy it so much more!

    Enjoy

  11. Hi

Thank you for offering to help us out :)

We will arrive in Stockholm at 5:00 p.m. Saturday September 5th so we may not be up to any sightseeing until the following day. I want to see as much of Stockholm as possible on Sunday and I understand that the busses don't run.

My question - if I get a taxi to pick us up at Frihamnen is there anything open before 10:00 AM? I am interested in seeing Old Town, City Hall, Vasa, and Skansen and get back to the dock by 3:00 because the ship leaves at 4:00. Any advice about transportation so we can see all of these things and not wait around for the next HOHO bus????

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!
