I will be sailing this itinerary on May 6, which I believe will be the first run. I'll do my best to collect and post the cruise compasses[emoji3]

Kimmbo 1, I would also like to see the compasses for this sailing. Thank you, in advance.

We are sailing on the Allure this October. Does anyone have a list of the shows and times? Thanks

Not happy banned from the C-Lounge as a diamond. Now getting booted from the renamed C-Lounge the new suite lounge. Sorry not happy about the new changes. No reason to get to D+.
I agree.

In case you haven't heard, the CL is gone from the Oasis and will be eliminated from the Allure during the upcoming drydock.
When is the Allure going into drydock?

Be grateful if you won something. Lots of people have not won anything.

You are right...
Most other industries would make you CHOOSE which discount you wanted and leave the others. You'd get EITHER the 30% off or the $225, but not both. Hotels and car rentals come to mind.... also pizza chains.
Pizza Chains?

Don't know about the Allure but I will on the Oasis in a couple of weeks. The cost was about $35.00 a person. My understanding is if you choose dress up like Roaring 20s gangsters, molls, etc. You will get a card in your room with a "secret" password. To enter the event you whisper the password to a staff member and you will escorted to a secret entrance (Speakeasy) style.
Inside there will be music, snacks and drinks served in tea cups. It start's around 1030 PM and last about 2 hours.
Hope this helps.
We had a good time when we did this event a couple of years ago.

Yes. Yes. And yes. We have done Halloween on RCI for the past 7 years. There is a costume parade and costume party for adults and a small scale trick or treating for kids club with a costume party as well. We decorate our door with one of the door coverings you can buy at home. Makes it really easy to find our room. This year Halloween falls on Saturday so we're getting back that day and miss the big party.
Do the celebrate it the week before or just on Oct 31st?

I just got off the phone with RC. Our cruise on Harmony in Feb 2017 is $56.00 per person more with the 30% sale. We originally booked 9/1. Hard to figure out this shell game.
I agree. Our cruise on the Harmony in April is 150.00 more. Some Sale.

Twice in the last two years I was able to snap up a FOV for 3 family members (two adults and toddler) on Radiance Alaska.
The first time it showed up very late at night (west coast time) as being available for less than the required minimum approx 3 mos. before our cruise. I already had them booked in a OV so put the FOV on hold and called RCI (I handle my own bookings) to make the change the next morning...no problem.
The second time...same situation...the FOV showed up at midnight one night 4 mos. before our cruise (I had been on the lookout) but never thought it would show up this early. Again put it on hold and called the next morning to make the change...I was told it had been a "glitch" but nothing they could do... the 24 hour hold was honored and so RCI made the change of cabins for us. (Thanks RCI)
Funny thing is both times...Radiance...Alaska and cabin FOV #8500 ;)
What is a FOV?

Hats off to the Coast Guard. :):D

The big issue....are you talking about a true travel agent or an assembly line order taker.
One provides a service, the other just takes your order and sometimes gives you a discount. If all you need is your order filled, go for that. But if you want someone who can provide knowledge, expertise, personal attention and more, then get a real agent.
I agree with you. My sister is an agent and she provides everything you stated.

Sand or no sand I'm still going.

Hello mikeflynn,
NCL is the best line for sailing solo! If you want to meet other singles to dine with or to join in other activities, go to the Studio Lounge at 5pm. My other advice applies to everyone. If you want a tranquil place to relax on deck, book the Vibe, but you need to board early. If you really enjoy good food, the unlimited Dining Package can be great value. If you like to have drinks during the day as well as the evening, worth looking at the Ultimate Beverage Package. It's nice not to worry about how much you are racking up. If however you enjoy wine, the Viva Vino Wine Package may be the best bargain, as big savings over full price can be made.

What is the Dining package? You have to pay for your meals?

This Hampton Inn is very new and is currently rated number one in Miami on Tripadvisor, Cruise Critic’s parent company (hence I assume I am permitted to mention it). When I booked it about nine months ago I got a good rate for a Friday night which was about $200.
Nice spacious bathroom but no bath, a large walk-in shower only...
I felt it was very good value for this location, from where you can use the free Metromover to venture out and explore the downtown area, including Bayfront. As it transpired, my early rise and lack of sleep was catching me up. All I needed was food, wine and an early night...
However I must warn anyone who stays here to avoid at all costs the 3 Chefs Chinese Restaurant located within the hotel. I ordered a takeaway of Spring Rolls, Hot and Sour Soup, Kung Po Shrimp and Egg Fried Rice. I had read very mixed reviews but settled for the convenience, knowing I was not looking for top cooking; just an average meal of a standard that you could find at a mall food-court would have sufficed. This was so bad that I took only one bite of the rolls, one sip of the soup, one shrimp from the Kung Po which like the soup was hidden beneath a vile oil-slick and even the fried rice was appalling. I love food and I hadn’t eaten since breakfast but I couldn’t choke-down this diabolical garbage. Almost the entire meal went straight into the bin. Restaurateurs who serve such awful food that I know they themselves would not even contemplate consuming, are treating their customers with utter contempt and do not deserve to stay in business. Normally I confront restaurants over such bad food but I was so tired I couldn’t face putting my shoes back on to go down to the lobby. Oh boy, with an empty stomach, did that bottle of wine go straight to my head; so much so, I almost contemplated leaving a thimbleful...
Next Day 1...
Great Pictures. What type of lense did you use to make the room so large?

It sounds like you have to be on the ship on Oct. 31st or they don't celebrate Halloween.:(

Hi
Does anyone know if Adventure still runs the Mystery Dinner? We sail 7th Nov having only just booked - I don't have anything showing under Entertainment in my cruise planner other than access tour. Does this mean it would be sold out? Or is there likely to be space available to book onboard?
Thanks
We have booked the Mystery Dinner on our October sailing on the Adventure.

You might try cruising out of Galveston. The majority of the passengers are Texans, a very friendly bunch. You will also find southern good manners and polite conversation! Have also cruised from both coasts and Galveston cruises have had the most congenial table mates.
I'll keep this in mind for future sailing.

Anyone know if I can buy the wifi package now and apply the Diamond discount also? Or should I just wait to purchase it when I am on board to make sure I get the discount?
How much of a discount do you get for the Diamond status?
-
We usually sail over Halloween (we get back on Halloween this year ), so we buy a Halloween door covering from the Dollar store and tape it on our door. It makes it so very to find the room when traveling down the endless corridors.
They will still have a Halloween party onboard for you to enjoy.
-
We just disembarked yesterday. They did have a 70's theme and a white (Glow) party as well.
Did you do the Mystery Dinner? If so how was it?
-
what sucks is that everyone in the cabin has to spend that much. That means $900 in on board spending for us. We have never spent that much on a ship.
I agree.:D
-
Yeah unless your a buying a drink package it would be hard.
I agree with you.
