Some who booked a cruise to Israel may have hoped to make it their "lifetime visit" .. Hope maybe they will get  another chance in future yrs

  2. It has been a few years since sailing on Princess.... could someone tell me if they still allow the balcony divider to be opened to the next balcony? I know Celebrity does not allow it.

  3. Thanks for your honesty! I know that it depends on how many smokers are on board. As I said this is our first try on NCL as we normally sail Celebrity or Princess. This will not deter our plans. Looking forward to sail on NCL! Thanks again for your reply. Have a great day. :)

  4. We just booked a cruise in Jan. on the Getaway. This will be our first cruise on NCL and we were reading some reviews and were surprised that they allow smoking in the casino. Looking for some feedback to ask if the casino is well ventilated. Not a smoker and would rather not enjoy a evening in the casino surrounded by a lot of smoke! Thanks for any feedback.

  5. If anyone could help we are looking at taking a cruise on NCL. We have sailed 6 times on Princess and 3 times on Celebrity and are a bit apprehensive about going on NCL. Can anyone compare to other lines and what the best veranda deck would be? Thanks for your help!:)

  6. Hi,

We have never been on this line but, have heard good things. We are looking at the 11 Day Western Med sailing and would like any info you can give us on Celebrity.

Someone said the food wasn't all that great..but, you can't please all the people all the time..and..quite frankly, it came to me third hand..so, I don't know what kind of food that person likes or doesn't!

Can someone also explain how the excursions work on Celebrity..

Love the ports they are going to..

Thanks so much for your responses:)

We sailed with Celebrity for the very first time back in 2013 on the Equinox. Our cruise was a 12 night Venice overnight leaving from Barcelona. We had an amazing time. The ship was beautiful and we loved all the ports. Since this was our first time to Europe, we decided to book all of our excursions through Celebrity. We took smaller group tours and paid a little extra for them but we loved every tour. We took a tour in Rome, Naples & Florence. I would say we had maybe 25 people on each of these tours. Some people say that this is NOT a small group but we had a blast. Lunch was provided and was included in the cost of the tour and we can't say enough about the places we ate at . The food and wine were delicious. When we were in Naples we had lunch at a beautiful hotel and our view was incredible. When we were in Dubrovnik, Venice and Kotor we were on our own. The cruise was a trip of a lifetime and we love Celebrity. We took a cruise this January on the Silhouette to the Western Caribbean and had a great time. We will be sailing again on the Equinox in November , The Ultimate Caribbean.

The ships are beautiful and very well maintained. All of the ships staff are very friendly and accommodating. We ate at all of the specialty restaurants and we highly recommend that you try them all. We hope you enjoy your trip. Happy sailing and be safe!

  7. We sailed on the Silhouette in January and sailed C2 Class. When we boarded all the specialty restaurants people were out selling packages. We ate at the Lawn Club Grill the first night and received 35% off. We also dined in Tuscan Grill, Murano and Quisine. We received 20% at all of these. I am not sure if they were having trouble with people booking but we got in a the time requested and had wonderful meals at all. Hope you enjoy your cruise and safe travels!

  8. I will quote myself from an earlier post:

"How is the coffee? Here's an anecdote. Was sitting yesterday at a luncheon with five other people. Everyone had coffee. The waiter poured all from the same carafe. The woman on my right said, oh that's good coffee. The man on my left said, that coffee is way too strong, and poured some water into his cup. The woman across from me said, this coffee is really bitter. Her husband asked, why can't you make coffee this good. The woman next to him made a face and said that it tasted stale to her. I thought it was too weak.

So how's the coffee on board? Probably too strong, too weak, too bitter, too stale, too hot and too cold."

You have hit the nail on the head! People can never agree on anything!
