  1. I am a bit of an outlier in that I don't drink much and as an elite plus, I get coffees and a bit of wine at dinner anyway. I prefer not to have wifi onboard just to completely unplug, so that just leaves the tips. I use the money I save not getting the AI package to get a Simply SAIL aft Sky Suite because I prefer the large balconies out of the wind. Since I have done the specialty restaurants before, I generally just stick with Luminae, Blu or one of the Main ones. Sometimes I get a weeklong spa pass if they offer a special ahead of time @200 for 2.  Even adding on an occasional drink, I still come out ahead.

I did a last minute cruise on the Edge with my daughter in Jan. in a regular cabin and still had a glorious cruise, great service and wonderful food. When we spend the extra money, I prefer not to get off the ship, so I also take the ports into account.

  2. I was on the Edge in January and am going again in a few weeks. We never made any reservations and never had to wait for a table. As we met people on board, we would sometimes plan to have dinner together and just coordinate when and which one to meet. Michael in Cyprus is just fantastic and has been sailing with Celebrity for many years. He always makes us feel very special so even when we are in Aquaclass or a Suite, we make sure to dine with him during the voyage.

Since we change waiters with the different restaurants, I try to remember to bring cash for individual tips. We also particularly enjoy dining in Eden and La Petit Chef.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

We are in Edge in early March and I’d love to try Eden but husband won’t eat seafood and is kind of a picky eater beyond that. Sadly I have to forgo wine dinners or chefs dinners often because of that. Will there be anything for him to eat on the Eden dinner menu or will they accommodate him? He’d be happy to eat steak and potatoes every night. Sigh..,

We ate there in Jan. My daughter is allergic to seafood but the chef was wonderful and made everything to order and to her taste. We really enjoyed the food and the experience.

  4. Anyone wanting to do Celebrity Millenium Repo from Aukland, NZ to Hawaii in April. Can get a sale price with only 125% single supp. on their Tuesday sale next week.

I got the same for their Aukland to Sydney in March a couple of weeks ago.

Just google "One Day Cruise Sale" . The prices for the upcoming Tues go up on Fridays with all of the info and the single supp. I also got a Summit Caribbean at 150% (all rather last minute of course). Some week's deals are better than others.

    Godspeed,

    Lisa
