  1. there is a C&C beach club just past the money bar, its a very short walk down the beach and you would save the taxi fair from going out to MrSancho's. Just a thought as we did something similar to this last year.

thanks! I am with someone who wants to snorkel, but i dont, so trying to please both of us. I do like the look of mr sanchos though

  2. mr sanchos snorkel , kayak and lunch is $30 and includes a few soft drinks with lunch. its booked through cozumel watersports dot com. but ive heard snorkeling isnt good.

we have decided to get a taxi to the money bar to snorkel for a few hrs, then taxi to mr sanchos for the rest of the day, we might also stop at carlos and charlies befor returning to the ship.

i read the money bar is 3miles away and mr sanchos is 10 miles from the ship, so as money bar is on the way to sanchos i figured we'd do both!

I think if you dont drink pay as u go would be better for you, i cant imagine lunch costing $50 so nachi wouldnt be worth it.

does anyone know the price of this coconut shrimp i keep hearing about?

also can anyone tell me and the op if there is music at mr sanchos? is it a party atmousphere or can the op still get peace and quiet? I dont actually want peace and quiet which is why ill probably end up in carlos and charlies lol kinda doing a beachbar crawl

  3. The luggage you give to porters in the terminal to transfer to your stateroom for you is called checked bags as they are "checked" in to the cruiseline or airline for handling.

I agree that we are two nations separated by a common language :D

OK so whats do Americans define as being CHEAP?

is it Cheap = mean and stingy, or

    cheap = on a budget?

just like to clarify , cos if its the later, then im cheap! but im not stingy at all and can be quite generous when it comes to drink. My generousity doesnt stretch to lineing the pockets of big corporate money grabbing cruiselines though

  4. Im so excited when im about to book! but I feel just as excited about any vacation, and all apsects of the vacation, the hotels, days out, nights out, pictures of hot tubs, you tube videos , I just love planning and cant really relax untill ive booked my flight, cruise, hotels. Then I get a bit bored and the excitement dwindles a bit, but when ever im talking about it im happy again. I need to have something to look foward to.

The best moment is driving to the port and seeing the ship for the first time!

  5. on the grand cayman shore excursions website ( island marketing) it has 2 snorkel tours, both are $35 . one is from 10.30am and is 4.5 hrs stopping at 2 snorkeling stops and the sandbar. the other one is 3.5 hrs long stopping at coral gardens and the sandbar. they have a morning , and an afternoon pickup. great if you want time to go to seven mile beach for the rest of the day.

Id prefer to do the jet ski excursion to the sandbar and rum point beach, its $70 each for 2 people shareing a jet ski and its 2 hrs long . on other islands jetskis are $50 for 30 mins so this seems like a good deal since I planned on rideing jetski's at some point anyway.

  6. Here's an idea... Forget the kids and grandma!!! Enjoy your vacation! Your on the same boat, a little distance isn't going to kill you. At least you brought your kids and mom with you and didn't leave them at home with grandma. Enjoy your romantic balcony and put up the do not disturb sign!

agree! keep the balcony, and since your room is the nicer one everyone can come over to yours for breakfast on the balcony and drinks after dinner, dont give it up. You can use the phone to call each others cabins and tell them to come over, or you can put up the do not disturb sign when it suits you. if I was traveling with family and was offered an upgrade on the other side of the ship a different deck to them, or given the option to stay next door to them in an inside, id say goodbye to my kids and run to the balcony lol Enjoy the time with your wife and dont worry about ther kids

  7. In short, we have a mid-ship balcony on the 10th floor. We were booked as a group reservation. We would like to move to the 5th floor for an oceanview room (a downgrade), so we can be across from where our children are staying (separate reservation). Much easier for naps and bedtime. There are 3 specific rooms that we would like to get, but all are booked already. Since we were part of a group reservation, and any of the 3 rooms would like are booked, they said it could not be done.

The question I have is once we are boarded, could we knock on that door and ask for a switch. My wife thinks it is tacky and inappropriate. Most important question, if this agreed upon could the switch be done by going to the front desk and switching out the keys. Next, is this tacky and looks suspicious? If someone approached you with this request would you do it? Or is this just a waste of time. Any input would be appreciated...

If you're on my cruise ill swap!!! :D you could ask the staff at check in to contact said room number to ask if they would like to upgrade to a balcony - no brainer im certain they will say yes! just get it done befor people have unpacked and i dont think it will be a problem. even if you knocked on the door yourself and explained that your children are in the room next door and you would really like to be in the room next to them, and offered the swap im sure they would understand and wouldnt feel that it was odd, might think you are a lil crazy to be giving up a balcony , but im sure theyd be pleased that you approached them , I wouldnt feel creeped out by this at all , Id even buy you a few drinks to say thanks!!! maybe its best that the staff approach them instead of you, just so that they dont feel like they are being tricked. good luck and I hope you have a wonderful cruise

  8. although Reyno isnt as well known on here as bumping tours, he started out befor bumpiing and will not cancel on you, so book with reyno. he is well known on the island and is reliable. ill post back when i return and let you know how the tour was. :D

  9. i booked with reyno for $40 including all entry fees and drinks to go to screws spa, trafalgua falls and mero beach. definately the cheapest quote by far and he seems like a friendly and fun person :)

there are 2 of us, and even for just 1 person it would be the same price so go with reyno

  10. Im going with reyno because he has customised my trip but still only charges $40 and provides free drinks. I didnt need to find extra people either, he's putting us with a group. I had other quotes double the price he is chargeing and tryed getting people from my roll call with no luck. he's taking me to screws spa, trafalgua falls, rainforest, and then mero beach. :) he's cool, he asked me what i like to drink and will bring the cooler to the beach.
