  1. My family of 3 recently used Larrys Limos and they were great - our flight was delayed til after midnight and i called to be sure that wasn't a problem and they made sure i knew that they would pick me up no matter what time my flight arrived and they monitor the flights. also they took us all the way to our hotel in miami and the hotel door was locked (it was after 1am) the driver drove around the building and said he wouldnt leave us on the street until someone opened the door and let us in. we finally got someone to answer the phone and make sure the security guard was there to open the door. the return trip was just as easy.

    highly recommend

  2. I've taken the Radisson's Cocoa Beach shuttle and it's fine, our driver pointed out interesting things along the way and shared local info. Definitely make your hotel-to-port shuttle arrangements as soon as you can though, and early; I wouldn't rely on it again, we had issues getting the time we wanted and then things were backed up so we kept getting bumped. For 45 minutes.

We are going to call and try to book tomorrow night. Hopefully they still have some openings. I'm thinking what if our flight is delayed then we may miss our pickup time and have to wait. But we'll see

  3. The Radisson contracts Cocoa Beach Shuttle for shared airport transfers. It is a very popular shuttle company around here so nothing to be concerned about!

$50 for two is a great rate indeed! You can check into a one-way car rental to see if you can get a car for $60 or less but failing that, IMO just stick with the hotel airport package.

Thanks for the assurance, I think we'll try it. And renting a car 'may' be cheaper but then I have to worry about directions and returning the car

  4. I am currently booked at the Radisson resort at the port mostly based on these reviews. I'm wondering about shuttle service from the Orlando airport to the Radisson has anyone use any other commercial shuttle services or the service offered by the hotel? The hotel service seems to be by far the cheapest but I'm just wondering if it's worth the price

  5. If anyone actually wins, please post here. I always feel like these Sweepstakes for any companies are fake. And no grand prize is ever awarded

WE WON!!! I played the parking ticket code and it told me I won a 2 night preview cruise!!! I was skeptical but after a few days I got my confirmation from helloworld that I am booked on the 2 night harmony in November. We never win anything so still are a little worried that the rug will get pulled out from under us, but so far it looks good. I'm afraid that with so much to see 2'days won't come close to covering it all.

Has anyone done a preview cruise before? Is everything open and available to try?

  6. To the OP, Presuming I get the point of your post about silly traditions, yes.

I always get a haircut two weeks before a cruise (whether I need one or not). DW always gets her hair done a week before a cruise.

If we don't have any cruises scheduled, my hair tends to get more than a bit shaggy, because I just don't have any motivation to go to the barber:o

Yes, Orville I was thinking more of a silly tradition sort of post. I didn't realize this would cause such a sneaker / shoe debate :) but hey anything to get people interacting isn't a bad thing.

And I've always called them sneakers - I guess I'm showing my age, which I didn't think was that OLD. ILL have to rethink that as we'll I guess :D

  7. One of my cruising traditions is to not buy new sneakers until I'm getting ready to go on a cruise. And I haven't cruised as much as I like lately (last one in 2011). This year I seriously needed new sneaks (as well as needing a cruise) but as much as I tried, I was unable to work a cruise into the budget for this year. Other family obligations came first. So I had to break down and buy a pair of Nikes. They arrived today and they are great but not the same excitement as I usually get, since this puts a nail in my cruising hopes for 2014.

But I don't ask for your pity, just wondering if anyone else has a silly tradition like this

  8. I'm not sure why, but with the new builds, I'm not as excited as I was with the last few new classes of ships. And so far none of the press releases have made me any more excited. Maybe it's just me but all of the dining and entertainment announcements (other than the bumper cars) have made me think more of an adult club / resort than a family cruiseship.

I'm not even sure if I've heard if they have a flow rider or a promenade.

Are these features just a given or have a missed some announcements?
