I've taken the Radisson's Cocoa Beach shuttle and it's fine, our driver pointed out interesting things along the way and shared local info. Definitely make your hotel-to-port shuttle arrangements as soon as you can though, and early; I wouldn't rely on it again, we had issues getting the time we wanted and then things were backed up so we kept getting bumped. For 45 minutes.

We are going to call and try to book tomorrow night. Hopefully they still have some openings. I'm thinking what if our flight is delayed then we may miss our pickup time and have to wait. But we'll see

The Radisson contracts Cocoa Beach Shuttle for shared airport transfers. It is a very popular shuttle company around here so nothing to be concerned about!
$50 for two is a great rate indeed! You can check into a one-way car rental to see if you can get a car for $60 or less but failing that, IMO just stick with the hotel airport package.
Thanks for the assurance, I think we'll try it. And renting a car 'may' be cheaper but then I have to worry about directions and returning the car

I am currently booked at the Radisson resort at the port mostly based on these reviews. I'm wondering about shuttle service from the Orlando airport to the Radisson has anyone use any other commercial shuttle services or the service offered by the hotel? The hotel service seems to be by far the cheapest but I'm just wondering if it's worth the price

What is this "parking ticket code" you speak of?
I played parking ticket as my code. I think it was just recently released.
It was a link I got on the Royal Caribbean blog Twitter page.
-
If anyone actually wins, please post here. I always feel like these Sweepstakes for any companies are fake. And no grand prize is ever awarded
WE WON!!! I played the parking ticket code and it told me I won a 2 night preview cruise!!! I was skeptical but after a few days I got my confirmation from helloworld that I am booked on the 2 night harmony in November. We never win anything so still are a little worried that the rug will get pulled out from under us, but so far it looks good. I'm afraid that with so much to see 2'days won't come close to covering it all.
Has anyone done a preview cruise before? Is everything open and available to try?

Glad you made it back safe. I'm sure you're exhausted from 2 weeks of fun and 1 day of travel, so you deserve a few days to decompress. I don't think some cruise directors work this hard entertaining people.

Thanks for the review, great info and entertaining. I look forward to them everyday! One of the few reviews that I check almost every post not just the ones with the photos.
Sorry you have to go back to the real world, but you did help me confirm Allure will be the next ship for my family

Radio, I started following along early on with this review and got sick and forgot about it until today. Awesome job as usual, and I Appreciate your positive outlook, even with all of the weather issues, really made it a must read.
Thanks for updating us all with your review and how life can be when not everything goes right

Alseau. I think you raise a great point. It's not the age of the cruiser it's more of the attitude. I'll bet there were as many older complainers as there were younger. Some people think because you paid for a vacation then everything should be perfect. But some people are willing to roll with the punches and some want to complain. JMO

Just read the review, great job. Awesome pics. How much was the 'W' and how much was the cab ride

Wow! I can't believe I got that right. Is that ship still in operation for pullmatur
-
Wasn't the Oceanic part of the big red boat line, that was the 'beginning' of the Disney cruise line? If so I thought that was now part of the RCCL family in the pulmanter line?
That was my first cruise in 1991 and I was sold then, and went to bigger and newer
But I could be WAY off base

I think I know the answer to this, but were your discounts given automatically? Or did you have to check for a drop and call for an adjustment? I was recently told by a TA that if I book before a WOW sales i wouldn't be eligible for the WOW PERKS.

Count me in as well- Don't care for Anthem or Quantum
Count me In as well!!
I feel like I'm reading a lot of negative posts regarding quantum / anthem and the ship hasn't even been seen yet. Is his something unique to quantum / anthem or were there similar negative expectations regarding freedom/ oasis class ships.

Rooms to me are for sleeping and changing. So I would definitely go inside for the additional cruises.

Don't feel bad. When I was growing up, they were always keds - regardless of the brand:eek:
When I was real young we had skippys they apparently meant we had cheap shoes
-
To the OP, Presuming I get the point of your post about silly traditions, yes.
I always get a haircut two weeks before a cruise (whether I need one or not). DW always gets her hair done a week before a cruise.
If we don't have any cruises scheduled, my hair tends to get more than a bit shaggy, because I just don't have any motivation to go to the barber:o
Yes, Orville I was thinking more of a silly tradition sort of post. I didn't realize this would cause such a sneaker / shoe debate :) but hey anything to get people interacting isn't a bad thing.
And I've always called them sneakers - I guess I'm showing my age, which I didn't think was that OLD. ILL have to rethink that as we'll I guess :D
-
One of my cruising traditions is to not buy new sneakers until I'm getting ready to go on a cruise. And I haven't cruised as much as I like lately (last one in 2011). This year I seriously needed new sneaks (as well as needing a cruise) but as much as I tried, I was unable to work a cruise into the budget for this year. Other family obligations came first. So I had to break down and buy a pair of Nikes. They arrived today and they are great but not the same excitement as I usually get, since this puts a nail in my cruising hopes for 2014.
But I don't ask for your pity, just wondering if anyone else has a silly tradition like this
-
I'm not sure why, but with the new builds, I'm not as excited as I was with the last few new classes of ships. And so far none of the press releases have made me any more excited. Maybe it's just me but all of the dining and entertainment announcements (other than the bumper cars) have made me think more of an adult club / resort than a family cruiseship.
I'm not even sure if I've heard if they have a flow rider or a promenade.
Are these features just a given or have a missed some announcements?
-
But I'll bet from what I've heard about Oasis you'll have more to tell us that excited you once you return
-
How about Ka-Ching of the seas.

See, something for everyone

That was what I was coming up with in my research, but wanted to run it by the experts
Looks like we're going to the post office. :)

Does my 3yo Daughter really need a passport for a trip to Bermuda?
Transportation for 6 from FLL to Downtown Miami

My family of 3 recently used Larrys Limos and they were great - our flight was delayed til after midnight and i called to be sure that wasn't a problem and they made sure i knew that they would pick me up no matter what time my flight arrived and they monitor the flights. also they took us all the way to our hotel in miami and the hotel door was locked (it was after 1am) the driver drove around the building and said he wouldnt leave us on the street until someone opened the door and let us in. we finally got someone to answer the phone and make sure the security guard was there to open the door. the return trip was just as easy.
