  1. No need to listen to it. I can pull it up on the juke box in my brain after a gozillion times hearing it.

But seriously - to answer the original question:

I'm not much into health food...I AM into champagne.

And I DO like piña coladas but not so much getting caught in the rain. So I'd be inside playing trivia somewhere or watching a movie in the stateroom. With alcohol of some kind.

  2. I will join in with the very positive reviews. We wanted to see Hawai’i and as much of it as possible. We saved a ton by choosing to cruise the islands. This is not a Caribbean trip - the islands are the show. Take it, put your focus on Polynesia, and enjoy!

  3. We bought a $20 bottle and took it in. Plus the complementary champagne cocktail to start. [emoji1316] Remy was a DREAM!!! I recommend it if it at all fits into your budget. So special.

  4. We were on this cruise! Boarding went smoothly. It was a bit weird to be sitting at dinner and looking out the window at Port Canaveral NOT disappearing into the distance. But all was fine beyond that. I was sad to miss the magic of the sail away party but it was a beautiful trip otherwise, and we loved San Juan.

  5. Hello all -

We just found out our ship MAY be stopping at San Juan instead of our original stop. We haven't researched that port. If you're experienced there, Please share your top 3 or so favorite activities.

    Thanks!

  6. You are welcome to bring your own' date=' but you'll be charged the corkage fee. Depending on what you want, they have wines ranging from quite reasonable to $50K for a bottle! And you'll be charged that automatic bar gratuity on anything you order there.[/quote']

50K??? As in - FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A BOTTLE OF WINE????

On a more human level, how much is "quite reasonable"? 20$? $50? We don't have a problem with a corkage fee unless it's going to mean that our "affordable" bottle of wine becomes more expensive than what we could have bought on board. Know what I mean?

BTW - I tried to update our credit card on file just now but it's too late because we are TOO CLOSE TO SAILING!!! :D

  7. We are dining at Remy and certainly want to have wine. Can we take our own bottle or is Remy excluded from that? We're doing this to save money of course - but I admit I don't really know the wine situation there.

  8. Well, they can't not serve alcohol. And alcohol + dumb very often = tragedy. I don't mean to kick somebody when they're down - I hope this man is okay. But I agree - it's very difficult if not impossible to fall overboard on modern ships. And there's no point in pretending otherwise. This incident, much like a drunk-driving accident - is a reminder to the rest of us: watch yourselves and draw the appropriate lines.

  9. So I was under the impression that all we need at the Port is our PAT document, and that all other docs (other than passports and birth certificates) were electronic. But I got a reminder email the other day to be sure to print my edocs. I don't see anything that says "print this and take to the Port" as in the past.

I think I saw a thread about this a few weeks ago but I can't find it now!

    Thanks!

  10. I think I'm going to print exactly what the website says and take it with me. If they question me, I'll just whip it out. I'm not trying to be disrespectful in any way - I just want them to be clear on what they want us to wear. By "them", I mean both DCL and Remy. They need to get together and publish the same dress code.

  11. Thanks for all the info. I wanted to add, though, that when the Hubs read reviews of the Hertz location at the port, many people report walking to the terminal from there. Were they maybe walking to another line's termincal, not DCL? Or is it simply a matter of perspective on what constitutes walking distance?

  12. So we are driving and dropping off a Hertz rental car on the day of embarkation. We're trying to get a feel for the logistics. Our PAT is 11:45 - 12:00. Here's the info we're looking for:

    1. Where is the Hertz location?

    2. Can the Hubs drop me and kid and luggage at the Port, return the car, and walk back?

    3. What happens to our checked bags if we're not taking Disney transport?

    4. Can we show up at the Port before our PAT document says?

    Thanks.

  13. For the record, I just copied the following from the DCL site (under What to Pack...):

    p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 14.0px Times; color: #253b56}span.s1 {letter-spacing: 0.0px}

Adult Exclusive Dining at Palo and Remy – To preserve the elegant ambiance of these restaurants, you are asked to adhere to a dress code when dining at Palo or at Remy. We recommend dress pants or slacks and a collared shirt for men, and a dress, skirt or pants and a blouse for women. Please no tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes. Jeans cannot be worn at Remy; however, they may be worn at Palo if in good condition (no holes).

It says nothing about jackets or sandals. I'll be pretty miffed if I pack a pair of pumps just for Remy (I would NEVER pack closed-toed shoes for a cruise) and there are ladies all over the place in dress sandals...

There seems to be a fair amount of confusion over this issue.

  14. Ok - so we know we're in the 2nd seating but we won't know what time until our check in at the Port, right? We're trying to schedule a couple of evening things and it would really help to know our dinner time.

Also, is there a way to find out the schedule of special dinner events - like the Pirate/Princess dinner?

    Thanks!

  15. We are sailing on the Disney Fantasy next month with a 7yo who's not terribly adventurous yet. We don't want to make reservations for any excursions in order to leave ourselves some flexibility. However, we don't want to miss Tortola since we've never been. Can you share some ideas of how we might see some highlights - beach and snorkeling included - for a good price? Obviously, we're looking for safety and reliability. :)

    Thanks!
