Anyone ever stay at the Harbor House ? Is it a nice place, any local attractions bars/restaurants nearby in "walking" distance ??

it is a great place to stay .... you are only 5 minutes from the cruise terminal ... down the same street .... all the good restaurants are right next door ....... you are only a bock or two away from the Stand ... that's where all is happening ...... also a good place is Treemont Hotel .... (if you book that one make sure it is at the location on the Strand.

VIP in Galveston is a little different. They only have 2 persons working it and they take care of other things too. You definitely get on sooner and there are couches in the VIP room. We had a line in front of us but only about 8 people. It is worth it! They escorted us into the ship but beware there are inclines to walk up so if that is a problem just ask for a wheel chair! They will assign someone to walk you on and then take the wheel chair back down. Get there early and you will get on immediately!

How did the luggage situation work in Galveston at VIP check-in? did u still have to wait all day to get your luggage or did they take it right away to your room?

I was donering if you knew about on board credits (they seem not to be able to find the one i was promised.

That's what i thought as well ....... but he swears he did it several times. He was also on the Conquest in a Penthouse

Does anyone know if you can buy liquor in the duty free shop and take it to your room?

My friend said he was able to do that..... but i'm not so sure...

What do u do? I think he justed tipped the guy in the shop or was it because he was staying in a Penthouse Suite.

Does anyone know any additional things besides VIP boarding as the benefits.

:mad: :mad: I am booked on the conquest 5/11/08 just afew days away . I understood from carnival that if you purchase liquor in the store on the ship that they will keep it for you till the end of the cruise.

A friend of mine stayed in a penthouse suite (we are booked in one) and he went to the duty free gift shop ....bought several bottles of liquor and cigs and they delivered it to his room right away.

Anyone have any idea if this really happens or how to make it happen?

does anyone know about buying liquor onboard at the gift shop ... a friend of mine said he bought liquor there and they took it to his suite right away ....
