  2. I went on the P&o website this morning and did a booking for a cruise and it told me it was £1039.00 so I rang the booking line and was told it would be £1119.00 when I asked why I was told that that price was a couple of hours old and would be told the new price online when I went to pay [emoji15]

  3. We tried to arrange embarkation together for this on the phone and email with P&O but they refused point blank. They would only allow my daughter's family (3 of them) to embark together as priority.

I would have thought you could all check in at the same time especially as you are only using one card you might not all get on the ship at the same time especially if your daughters family have priority boarding.as I said earlier just tell the person handing out the cards your circumstances I’m sure they will try to help as it’s in their interest to get everybody on ASAP [emoji3]

  4. This sounds a bit worrying. DH always uses his credit card at checkin for us both, so what will happen if it won’t register - not our fault but the “system”.? I don’t want to take my card and DH only has the one.

    Should we be worried?

I wouldn’t worry they will get it sorted on the ship

  5. This could be interesting. When we embark on Britannia next March my daughter and her family go to priority boarding due to my grandsons disability. My wife, son and I go through normal boarding.

However, my daughter will be registering their cabin against my credit card but I won't be in the same queue.

Hmmm. I wonder how this is going to work?

I would just tell that to the person giving out the embarkation cards and say we have to check in together

  6. Another thought - what if you spend less than £50? We had such a good deal on OBC last year our final bill was £30! Not that I anticipate that happening again in the near future!

I imagine they will give any surplus back after the cruise I’ve never been that lucky lol [emoji23]

  7. You check in as normal but instead of the check in staff swiping your card as they used to do you put your card into the card reader and enter your pin just as if you were purchasing anything at home, they take £50.00 from your card and you then carry on as normal,I’ve not had any problems but one passenger in the next line couldn’t get his card to register.

  8. We have booked on day one in the past, but for summer 2019 they have released it so early that we have not booked. I want to see what the other lines are offering before we make a decision. We are not loyal to one cruise line at all. Itinerary is very important to us. There is one P&O cruise we fancy but will not commit to booking until we see what alternatives are available elsewhere. Unfortunately that may mean paying more!

Personally I have found that if you are not bothered about cabin location the longer you leave it most of the time you can get it cheaper an example is the next cruise we are on we have paid £2207.00 for a balcony cabin and you can get a balcony cabin for £1600.00 on the same cruise.even taking into account the free parking and obc we’ve received it’s still £430.00 cheaper

  9. I don’t know I never saw the first day price but I know that as of today I could have got a balcony cabin for £600.00 cheaper than I paid lol you can’t win with them se la vie as they say in Spain [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
