  1. Hi all-I am eyeballing a Feb. cruise on Sunshine, and I was wondering if anyone had any input on porthole rooms? I've had both interiors and OV's on past cruises, and while I love a window, I also love saving money :). Seems like a porthole might be the best option. The only thing is, I've actually never been all the way forward-always aft, which seems closer to things. Any thoughts?

  2. Now here is a dumb question :). Can one access their room just to stash their carry-on IF the large corridor doors are still closed? I have stashed the luggage when the doors were open (prior to the "rooms are ready") announcement, but I am curious as to whether I can pop in if the corridor doors are still closed. TIA!

  3. I've been on both and like both. One thing is the RC ships I've been on do have a "wow" factor as far as how everything looks (such as the Royal Promenade). I did really like the entertainment on RC over carnival. Some folks I cruise with that have been on both think the food on RC is much better, but I honestly didn't notice a difference. And this may sound like a silly difference, but RC is very draconian about allowing you to fill your own water bottle-AIN'T HAPPENIN', lol. That was a bit of a surprise for me the first time on RC, because it is almost a "norm on carnival. HTH! :D

  4. I have a stupid questions about the private shuttles at the port after the cruise. (This pertains particularly to Miami, since that is where my upcoming cruise is leaving from). Anyway, I always see the shuttles outside along with the cabs and assorted buses, and I was wondering if you can just make arrangements with them on the spot, or are they all by pre-arrangement only? I've done both the Carnival buses and the cabs, but I thought that if I could just jump on the shuttle, it might be the best of both worlds (i.e. cheaper, but not as long of a wait for it to leave). Thanks!

  5. I am planning on cruising solo in a few months. I have cruised solo several times, but always with assigned dining. I would like to try out the anytime, but I was wondering-if you are solo, will the seat you with other people, or would I be stuck in a corner eating by myself (not appealing, lol!).TIA!

  6. Hi all, I just wondered if someone could tell me what brand of tea Carnival currently has? I usually go on Carnival, and they have always ha "known" tea rands. My last cruise was on Royal, and they had some awful, tasteless, hardly any tea in the tea bag unknown brand (I'm guessing cost cutting measure!). Anyway, i just wondered if carnival is still being kind to tea drinkers, or if I should pack my own. (I'm not a "tea snob", lol, I'm fine with the "maainstream brands! :D) TIA!
