We did the Emerald July 8-15. Chilly and rainy but a great cruise! I agree with the buffet being tired and not great. We did several breakfasts and lunches in the MDR which was very good. We did the Salty Dog special lunch on the free day. Huge line when it starts but walked in when the first group was finished. Very good fish and chips. Absolutely loved the Crown! Lobster was fantastic as were the soup, salad and dessert.
Wholeheartedly agree with using the Seatac program. We had a red eye home that Sunday so it was great to explore Seattle without luggage.
We did the wilderness exploration and crab feast in Ketchikan and still dream of the all you can eat crab!
We did the mushers camp in Skagway and loved it as well!

Just back from the Emerald and it was on the last formal night at 7pm.

We just got off the Emerald yesterday (7/15) and we had several wet and chilly days. Last two days at sea were warmer. Layers were needed for the three port days. Lots of folks buying coats and hats in Ketchikan and Juneau. Still had a great time as we packed lots of layers and waterproof boots, coats and hats. And even with the rain, Tracy Arm is spectacular.

Just did Wilderness Exploration and Crab Feast last week and loved it! Gorgeous views, awesome photos with the eagles, Captain Rusty and Amy were great on the boat. But the crab feast was amazing. Emily in the lodge was very fun teaching us crab cracking and it really was all you can eat!

It works great! Thank you so much for posting! Sailing on July 8th.
Standing reservation - ATD
in Princess Cruises
Posted
We were on the Emerald in July with ATD. Loved our waiter the first night so each morning that we weren’t in a port at dinner time we made a reservation for his table. Each time they gave a little speech that there are no guarantees but we still got Ronnie every single night. Our reservation had to be 515 or 530 which worked out fine for us. Hope this helps.
