Love your photos. We really enjoyed the Valor in November. It is a beautiful ship, and the people working on her are fabulous.

fantastic review, thank you, and I loved the pictures.

Besides the sign and sail, I don't bring along much cash, a lot of $1 and $5 bills used mainly for tipping and getting drinks in port. I don't buy all the souvenir crap that is sold at these ports...I have found that if you go from one port to the next, it is the same cheap t-shirts/hats/pottery/whatever and the only thing that is different is the name that has been "hand painted" or stenciled on it. Between me and the gf, we usually take about $200 in small bills.

This thread makes me feel good...I don't feel like such a pig when I order several different entrees.

The Aft wraps are fantastic if you have a large group, and even better if you can get the adjoining cabins across the back of the ship and open them all up. Party time!!

I seen a smilar thing like this on the Glory a couple of years ago but it was with Jerk Chicken. It was 3 or 4 women and they took the entire tray out also. This was the buffet line outside closer to the pool. The staff rom carnival was trying to tell them "no" but they acted like they didn't efven here what they were saying or couldn't understand them or didn't care. But the bad thing about this was they didn't eat it all so most of went to waste
...and they probably complain because the cost of cruising is going up, right?

NO WAY! Say it isn't true!! No way someone can eat THAT much food and still walk. I thought the Steak House on the Splendor was totally over rated. The MDR was much better in my humble opinion. Can't imagine spending the money for it again.
-
You will know...they cost more and are hard to get sometimes.

At embarkation, it is a notation to the staff to hand you a helmet, because you were gullible enough to be responsible for everything and be willing to pay. I need more friends like you!

doing our first aft balcony at the end of the month on the Splendor....can't wait, hopefully will be smooth sailing.

going to have a aft balcony on my cruise on the Splendor, really looking forward to it.

Booked on the 6th of Feb, and I am so psyched. Did this cruise last year, and loved it.

:D
1st suggestion Party Naked:D
2nd, saw on another board, pack your suitcase, put it inside next size larger empty suitcase, after flight you have an extra empty suitcase that you can put supplies in.
Definitely like the way you think!!

hmmm...wonder if I asked them to, if they would put a freezer in my cabin, that way I could bring those little buckets and make frozen margaritas? Just kidding...I think.

So this is my first cruise so this is new to me, so the sum of it all is put some alcohol into a, lets say mouthwash bottle and pack it well (so it doesn't get caught or spilled) and treat yourself to a free drink now and then, correct? IF not, help me!!!!! This sounds like fun.
Also, I am a goody goody, so I must ask......if you do, lets say get caught, they just take it. You don't get in any trouble. ha ha ha:eek:
If you get caught, you have to go to smuggling classes and write "I will not get caught smuggling again" 10,000 times while everyone else is on shore.:D So I wouldn't get caught. That is just what I have heard...
Passengers removed from ship for failure to muster
in Holland America Line

WHAT? They didn't have to walk the plank? I personally think the muster is a good idea, but not sure how effective it would be in an emergency. When people panic, the forget everything they have been told before to get them where they need to be. However, if you ask a kid that did it, they could probably tell you in detail. They pay more attention than adults do.
Another way to look at people that refuse to do muster is that they will leave more room for the people that do know what to do....survival of the fittest, in the case the "weak" that didn't do the muster drill will drown. Just sayin'....
