  1. I guess there was a problem on that sailing and Royal is giving cruisers some compensation in return for the less than perfect cruise they had planned.

What does the future cruise certificate say as far as how to use it?

Just asking as information sharing....it is everyone's hope that nothing happens on a cruise to have this as a result.

Future Cruise Certificate from Nov 30, 2014 Freedom sailing

    Booking Conditions

"Applicable to all categories & price programs except Loyalty Reunion Cruises, Complimentary Cruises, Interline, T/A Reduced rate, Individual & Group incentive, & Charter sailings. Applicable to individual & group bookings to cruise fare only. Not applicable for: shore excursions, tour packages, or any other personal charges. Guest is responsible for taxes and fees where applicable. One certificate per person, per booking, and valid only for the person noted on this certificate. If credit is applied to a booking of lesser value, the difference will not be carried to another booking and it will be considered as used. Cruise must be taken by 01/30/2016 and not redeemable for inaugural or holiday sailings. Valid only for the cruise brand above. (Royal Caribbean) As are all requests for reservations, the offered space is subject to availability, and from time to time, itineraries may be altered or services on a specific ship may be discontinued. Certain restrictions apply."

  2. I was wondering the same thing.. We have not yet received a letter. I did call RCCL before Christmas, and was informed they have 30 days to send the compensation letter - so we should expect it by December 30th. When I asked her about the 25% off a future cruise - and told her that was what we were told on the ship, she asked me if I had it in writing! She said compensation had not yet been decided - so i am a bit concerned it is not going to happen.

I was on Freedom Nov.30, I got a letter at when I checked in "We will be providing each guest with a future cruise certificate for 25% of the cruise fare paid for your November 30, 2014, Freedom of the Seas sailing. This certificate may be used for a future cruise on any Royal Caribbean ship within the next year. Future cruise certificates will be mailed to your home address or travel agent within six to eight weeks."

  3. We figure Melbourne wil be easy to get through security too. Don't know why we haven't used this airport before when MCO and the toll roads just don't make sense. We have friends cruising with us that are driving and they're picking us up .

You will love Melbourne airport, it is so relaxing:D. We always check to see if we can fly out of Melbourne first

  4. We had a B1 Boardwalk Balcony on Oasis- 10329. It was great, I would book it again. It's aft next to the rock climbing wall. You can watch the activity's on the boardwalk, watch the shows in the aqua theater, and still see the ocean.:D:D:D We did not find it noisy, DH tooks naps differant times of day:)
