Just to clarify - we are the New Zealand/Australia ends in Bali cruise with you.  I already got my New Zealand and Australia “visa” like thing.  Regent isn’t going to do that for me - is it?

I think Regent will do it. For some reason, I thought all required visas were included as part of the cruise price.

The don’t include them we are paying 59 each pp for nz and for Australia and then onboard they process the New Guinea one and charge account.  On our cruise to China it 399 pp .  You can probably save some by doing it yourself but personally I don’t want the hassle and will let regent do it.

I’m surprised your TA didn’t tell you that.

I think India is 25 pp if you use Evisa not sure about Dubai.  How many people in your group?

    Just me and my lady.

  3. We are on the Explorer Dubai to Singapore embarking in November. I got word from my TA that our visas are NOT included in the overall cruise price. That will add $756 for Qatar and India for the two of us. Is this a new policy? I don't believe I have ever paid extra for visas on past Regent cruises.

  4. Forgive me if this topic is been discussed previously. We are on the Explorer Dubai to Singapore in November  2022. My TA is quoting insurance cost up to about $10,000 to cover that trip including issues related to covid. If I take the covid part out of the equation it's about $1000. Anybody else having same problem? Any solutions? And is Regent still requiring a negative test to embark even with a vaccine card?

  5. Forgive me if this topic has been discussed, but I think the new CDC directive deserves some attention. As of today, anyone entering the US needs a negative COVID test within the 3 days of entry. I just returned from Cabo, and my resort's plan is to offer in-room testing--PCR test with 2-3 day turn-around for $200 or the quick test for $35. If someone tests positive, they will need to quarantine for 14 days. This resort plans to dramatically reduce their daily rate for these folks. I wonder how this will further complicate the cruise industry. Everyone will need to be tested on-board and somehow arrangements will need to be made for anyone who tests positive. I can't imagine anyone would be left on the dock to fend for themselves. Thoughts?

  6. We lived in 1054 this time last year Barcelona to Dubai. Really no vibration issues at all. We were not even bothered with noise from La Veranda. (and yes, we have good hearing!) Despite the diagram in the brochure, the deck does wrap around. No question I would absolutely live in this suite again!

  7. I am sorting through some old photos from a Voyager cruise many years ago. I came across one from a tour we did in Semarang, Indonesia that included a train ride out of town and a tour of a plantation of some sort. I don't think it was coffee, because there was a rather dark room with large flat leaf-like things hanging and being dried or cured in some way. There was also an image of a spout placed in a tree oozing a white material in to a metal cup. Sadly, I've lost all info on this place other than the photos. Can anyone here help me recall the name of this plantation?

  8. I am interested in the Barcelona-Dubai Voyager trip in October, but the entire ship is wait listed except the Grand Suite. Has anyone here dealt with the wait list, and can someone here tell me how Regent’s wait list system works?
