  1. Hope this helps - it's really not as bad as this thread makes out, just don't expect it to be as quick or reliable as at home or on shore

    :)

Of course not, I have also been on Azamara cruises were the connection has been acceptable. But as I experienced last time; and what other people have told in this thread, sometimes it is so slow and unreliable that it is almost useless.

Dear mara01; it does not help to have logoff.com as a bookmark when it takes ten minutes before the server reacts. You are charged for the ten minutes.

  2. I just came back from two weeks with Quest in The Black Sea and The Greek Islands. The Internet was horrible. I usually use 2 hours a week on the net, this time I had to spend 8 hours. I managed to get by with the free minutes; if I had to pay, I would have complained - strongly. This is especially disappointing since other ships sailing in the same area have acceptable connections.

Several times the system would not respond to my logging out, and I had to go up to the e-connection. Obviously the minutes were running until the server accepted the logout.

  3. Last time we had back to back cruise we received a complimentary lunch in Aqualina. This time the benefit had disappeared - of course we were disappointed.

Since Azamara is putting in benefits I do not need; and removing the things I really appreciate, I will just go for another company. The staff on Azamara is very friendly, and I appreciate that there are no formal nights - but I can find this on other cruise lines and often with better food.

  4. I have just received the offer from Azamara about USD 500 in onboard spending credit. Can I use it for excursions, because on Azamara everything is already included? I usually book excursions in advance and pay with a credit card, can I use the spending credit to pay; or do I have to book the excursions when I am onboard to get the credit?

  5. We were looking forward to the cruise in the Black sea with Quest in September, but it has (naturally) been rerouted. Before we cancel and book another cruise we would like to know what kind of compensation Azamara will offer if we go on the revised cruise?
