Can anyone tell me if they are offering half price dining on embarkation day still?  I’m cruising on the 

koningsdam in 2 weeks.

I’m just wondering how many masks to take for a 7 day cruise.  Holland says masks are to be worn on embarkation and disembarkation.  Also in the theatre.  Do they provide disposable masks?

I’m heading on my first solo in 3 weeks.  I’m doing Alaska again.  I used to go with my late hubby.  Now, I just love to cruise and have decided to try on my own!  Since I live on Vancouver Island, it is easy and relaxing to head over to Vancouver and get on the ship!

I have done Alaska about 6 times.  So, it will be familiar to me.  

We are on the same cruise.  There is a meet and greet booked.  You have to go onto the Royal site and book into the meet and greet.  Go to the roll calls, Royal Caribbean site.  From there go to Radiance of the seas and find Dec. 1.  You will find the rest of us.

We are boarding the Star on Dec. 1st. We have a dining package for 4 dinners included. Can I add to this package or do I have to buy another package if we want more specialty dining. We are going on a 15 cruise and will probably want more opportunities in SD venues.

We booked an O V room on our upcoming NCL Star Panama. We bid and got an upgrade to a mini suite. Can’t wait. We leave on Dec. 1st. I have traveled in inside, ocean views and balconies before. It depends when we go, for how long and what out current budget is. I enjoy cruising anyway I can. This will be my first Panama!

I love beading the lanyards myself. This way I can do several to match my clothes! I've been known to give several away while on the cruise too! It's fun.;p

It was per person. Total $290. We thought it was a great deal!

We put in a bid about 3 weeks ago to go from an obstructed OV. We bid $120 for a balcony and $145 for a mini-suite. The balcony bid was considered in the fair range and the mini-suite was considered the poor range. We found out today that we got the mine-suite midship! We sail Dec. 1st.

WoooHooo! We just got our bid accepted for our Dec.1, 2017 Star - Panama cruise. We went from an obstructed view 8th deck to a mid-ship mini suite on Deck 11. We bid $145ea. It was a poor offer, so didn't expect to get it. I am surprised to get it this early. How fitting it happened on Canadian Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for.

I love using packing cubes. I did a 2 week Europe trip with just a carry on by using the cubes. It is amazing how much you can get in each cube! We are going on a 2 week cruise in December. I have been challenged to try to accomplish the same. Not sure I will accept the challenge though. I find it harder for cruises. I like having more choices!

Whatever you do, pack some of hubbies clothes in your luggage and some of yours in his. My sister-in-law had her luggage lost just before a long cruise and it didn't catch up to her until the last port! She didn't practice this philosophy, but does now!

Also, can the cruise next certificates be used towards gratuities?

I may be interested. How much is it for?

I just booked my specialty reservations for my upcoming cruise on the Star, Dec. 1. I just went to plan my vacation in My Account. Used their on-line reservation system. I couldn't reserve in Teppanyaki, you have to wait until you are on board for that one. ( I called to make sure) I did book for Cagneys, Le Bistro and La Cucina. It was easy!

We did a 21 day Princess cruise from Vancouver to Beijing - $1150 for an inside cabin. This didn't include taxes or port charges. We were lucky on board and won $1000 in the casino and $150 in Bingo on the last day! I will never forget that journey!

I was on the Getaway two years ago. We had a blast at the party. We had simple costumes but saw amazing ones!

Congrats, we are cruising this January too! Not on your ship though:(. We are trying Azamara for the first time. I'm quite excited to try this line. Just to let you know, it would be better to post this on your roll call. Do you know about roll calls? You can be in touch with people on your cruise and get invited to the meet and mingle parties. Now we are leaving for a cruise in the carribean and I am getting a little worried. It was so bad I had to use a wheelchair.

I've lost 25lbs and hope it is better this time......but.......who knows.

I too am glad to hear I am not the only one with this problem. I haven't had it happen on flights before. I was thinking I may be getting allergic to cruising!!!!!:eek: That could be life threating for me!!! Well, maybe not, but it would certainly put a crimp in my style.

I think I will put a lot of your suggestions to the test in a couple of weeks. Support hose, herbal diuretics and NO ALCOLHOL???!!! Oh oh! Maybe just the first 2 suggestions;).
