Incredible timing, as we are taking the same exact cruise leaving July 8th! Thank you for the detailed review and information.

Yeah, it is actually pretty easy, click on "confirm room and deal", then just click on "edit" on the left next to "Room #". I actually like how you can edit the section of the boat, the deck, and the room, and the type of deal "early save, etc) all on the same page. Will take a little bit to get used to, though.

For budget you can try offer codes Y937800 or U096100 with coupon code MUWZ163. Good luck!
That was the best code/coupon combo I could find. Worked great for me, got a minivan for 6 of us to cruise around Ft. Lauderdale for a day for $77 total including taxes/fees. Regular price is $125 with taxes/fees. Thanks a lot for the help!! Nearly a $50 savings.

What date you looking at? I know the rate on their site varied a little bit according to the time of year. I am looking at April. Don't know if they charge extra for extra people.
It was for April 12th-13th. I looked at ValueTrips.com and it clearly says $10 more per person over 2. Still a great deal.

I placed my reservation request for Hyatt Place on Valutrips on 1/21/14, and they responded on 1/27/14. Most websites showed it sold out, but they confirmed my reservation, and the Hyatt website shows it as well. They must have a certain # of rooms allotted to be reserved from outside vendors...because Hyatt.com said the hotel was booked that day.
Also, I am sure I overlooked it somewhere....but they charged me $119, not $99. I am assuming it is because we have 4 people booked for the room, not 2. Anyone know for sure?
Thanks.
How far ahead to book?

This is a hard question to really answer for someone else. I always book cruises about a year and a half out, just because I like to plan way ahead and have peace of mind that it is done and booked. However, I have ben tracking prices of 3 cruises lately just to get an idea of price fluctuations......and I have determined the sweet spot is generally about 3 months out from the sail date.
The upside is you get a potentially significantly cheaper rate.
The downside is that there may be a limited selection for room types at that point. I am not willing to take that risk. You may be.
