  1. Honestly I think the thing I miss the most are the daily meme's that usually go with your reviews and the wit you add in. I know some of it is in this review (which was still a great review) but it's much heavier normally. Maybe you could do a hybrid review? Take a day to do a live and then a day to be you and not worry about us not cruising and then next day back to live and so on.

Still either way you go I still enjoyed reading this and seeing your travels and I will continue to follow when you go on your next one. 🙂

It was time to explore our favorite area...the aquarium.  You'll walk to different rooms seeing different creatures and fish and excitement grows wondering what is around the corner.

There are some curious fish in here.

They have some VERY large display tanks...it kinda reminds me of the one we have here at our local zoo. I could spend hours just sitting and watching it.

The fish in the first picture to the right looks really mad at you for taking this picture. 🤣

Same thing happened to me. I inputted the amount I wanted to pay in Other Amount (the amount on the gift card) then inputted the gift card number and pin and click Apply. I click on Select in the Other Amount and a box appears indicating the amount of the gift card I am applying and how much is left to pay. I click on the box that shows I agree to the Terms and Conditions then click on Submit Payment. Try this and I bet you'll be good to go!

I did the same thing today when I was trying to pay off my cruise. Once I went back in and added them all again and then entered that amount into other and submitted that then it applied them. I also panicked at first because it said only 9 cards. I had 11 to apply. I just ended up having to do two payments lol.

  4. I would say as long as you aren't doing the really short cruises you'll be just fine. They tend to be the ones in the past that have received that reputation and from what I've heard and seen other lines have the same issue on those length trips.

Honestly though I've done a couple 3 & 4 day cruises and never had any issues or seen anything that I haven't seen in every other walk of life. End of the day I'm a firm believer in these trips are all what you choose to make of them. Go in happy and you will enjoy yourself, go in looking for issues and you will find them.

Somebody has to stand up to these bullies... That's the reason they are bullies, because they always get away with it. They just picked the wrong guy to mess with today. I may not be a physically imposing guy, but I DO have a "look" about me that says "maybe shouldn't mess with this one"... It sucks that things have to be that way in this day and age, but I'm a Libra, and I believe in fairness, and I'm willing to fight for it when pressed...

I'm right there with you. I try to be civil but I was raised to not take crap from anyone. I've had people run there mouth at me because I've called them out. My response is usually is the day and thing you really want to get your *** beat over? My wife says with that and the look I have on my face it usually does the trick. I'm a pretty level headed guy but there are just times when enough is enough and society seems to have lost their freaking minds lately. 🙂

Awesome review BTW, going to miss your writing. If you ever publish that book I will be ordering it.

Oh wow what a game! Just made it home. It’s been sleeting the majority of the way. Gotta grab the kids. I’ll post a recap tomorrow.

Was a good game on both sides. Your boy Mayfield should get a good payday out of his play now. IF your Buc's had not been playing my Lions I would have been rooting for your guys (became a fan from my years living there) but as a lifelong Lions fan I'm super happy that Same Old Lions are gone and this squad plays with some heart and as a team.

Could see that final INT killed Mayfield, I felt bad for him.

    There are several problems.

Will there be cameras? I guess it depends on the ship and their maintenance of cameras. When my wife was assaulted on Glory security said the only video was in the casino.

Then there is the question of what legal doctrine the ship is following. When in international waters U.S. law doesn't automatically apply and even if it did what state's law would apply?

In Georgia use of "fighting words" is justification for assault. If the group all say you called them some terribly offensive word or words then under Georgia law they may be considered justified in assaulting you even if it were all on video.

Some states still have a "duty to retreat." If you are able to leave and thereby end the assault you are required to do so. If, instead, you fight back you may be found guilty of assault.

English common law imposes a duty to retreat whenever it is safe.

The age of the aggressor can also come into play and different places have different laws in that regard. Europeans must retreat from children with guns for example.

Then, if you use language to put the fear of God into them, in some states you run the risk of civil liability for "verbal assault."

So I still say "just walk away."

If that's what everyone wants to do then so be it 🙂

Unfortunately these days that could get one in a lot of trouble. When minors are involved you are greatly limited and touching a hair on their head can lead to charges of child abuse. Someone stumbling upon the scene will only see an adult doing something to a child and may well jump in to defend the child when they would not jump in to defend an adult.  And when a group is involved you can count on them spewing lies; one person's word against 10.

Just leaving is the safest and most cost effective move unless circumstances/self preservation make that impossible. Is it justice? No. But we don't have justice; we have a system of justice. Those are completely different things and knowing which way the system leans can save one a lot of grief.

You don't have to lay a finger on someone to put the ever loving fear of god into them. Also there are cameras all over the ship and if they lay a finger on you it then becomes self defense.

As you said if you can walk away sometimes is the best bet but there are times when people just push too far. Now these types of people have made it so someone who loves cruising is over it and doesn't want to go on a cruise line again but these kids think they can do whatever they want whenever they want and no one will do anything about it.

Sad sad world we are in right now.

Kanyon 71 I LOVE everything about cruising except for the last day at sea. For some reason , which I have never been able to understand I am melancholy. It is the oddest thing, I wake up and after breakfast and a second cup of joe I am sad and just wish I was home. Weird I know but there it is.

    JGB

    9 days and definitely counting!!

I think it's the whole knowing it's over and if it's over then you may as well be back home. That whole it's only downhill from this point type of thing. One of these years my wife and I want to do a B2B, would be interesting on the last day of the first one to see if we feel the same way or not. 🙂

  10. My parents owned pawn shops for over 20 years. Based on them stating that every pawn in the US is required by many local, state AND Federal laws I am lead to believe that the laws may vary on how merchandise is treated if needing to be returned to someone but that all of them including the federal government requires every transaction to be logged (back when we first started by hand, now all done digitally) and sent to the police department. I do not remember how often we had to do this by hand (weekly or monthly) but now it's all nightly.

Now I'm sure you will get some sketchy ones that try to skirt the law but based on their years in the business most of the pawn shop owners where pretty good people and always worked with the law to get people their stuff back.

My parents always would either return the item to the person or at most return it with them paying us back what we paid for it.

As for the OP, I'm really sorry this happened to you, sucks that we live in a world where we always have to think someone is just waiting to rip us off. It seems to be getting worse and worse, between the people stealing stuff and those always trying to scam us via, Phone, Email, Text and so on.
