  1. I had this exact same thing happen to me onboard a cruise ship many years ago. Luckily it was the last day of the cruise, and when I found out, against my better judgement I confronted him and he got really defensive and aggressive. I complained to the staff and security had him pack his things and leave the cabin for that night(the last night - don't know where they took him). I never saw him again, not even after the cruise was over, since we lived in different cities. It was devastating since I had paid for everything and he claimed to love me and so I totally understand what the OP is feeling. Hang in there, at least its almost over and I would take some of the posters' advice and keep busy, don't confront him on the ship, in case he gets aggressive, and ask the steward to separate the beds.

Slightly off the subject, but just had to get this off my chest. When we go to the buffet, we use the hand sanitizers when we enter, and again before sitting at the table. It grosses me out seeing so many people in line nibbling off their plate, and licking their fingers, just knowing they're not done filling their plate, and will touch the serving spoons and tongs, laced with their saliva, and whatever else the hundreds of hands prior have touched. Ew, ew, eww!!!

I think I just convinced myself to never eat at another buffet again, ever! LOL!

That's so disgusting...ewwww...we also wash our hands and use sanitizer and I always carry tissue to hold the tongs and serving spoons.

Curious how luggage is "great for cruising" vs. just good luggage. It's all for travel so does it matter if it's cruising or something else. Actually now that I think about it for cruising it would only need to be minimal since you use it only at the beginning and the end. Interesting.

So I just "wanted" new luggage! Does that sound better to you? To each his/her own, right?

  4. I absolutely love cruising...my favorite vacation!! I just love the option of either just doing nothing and sitting on the balcony watching the waves go by, or getting involved in activities if I want to.  The water has always been my sanctuary! I also enjoy the idea of waking up in a different city every day. So yes I miss cruising a lot.

  5. Not the same exactly but a few years ago I found the cutest little skirt on sale. Hot pink ( bright bright color) it's what we use to call an A line but now they call it "skater" style. It's lace and really pretty. Any way I was in my late 40's and my daughter said to me " It's pretty mom but don't you think it's a bit Young for you?" I nearly lost my mind. Who ever said we need to wear dark polyester with long sleeves and and high neck lines at any given point in our lives? I guess next I'll have to cut my hair short and get rid of my 5 inch heels in lieu of flat orthopedic shoes ( also in dark colors:eek:). I'm 50 now but quite honestly other than my metabolism coming to a screeching halt, and a few aches and pains here and there I forget my age. I wear a bikini because that's what I like , I can't stand wet material on my stomach, and I am sure my husband will tell me when and if the time comes that it doesn't look good any more. my eyelids are starting to loosen, and my arms seems to have grown some fat at the arm pit ( where DID that come from?) Bottom line is I am still happy with myself and really don't care if some one else is put off by the shape of my body. It is usually the young people with the tone bodies that are put off by "chicken skin" and I think that has mostly to do with the fact that they think they'll never be "That Person"

I love this!!!!!!!! My sentiments exactly!! I am 56 with a 30 year-old daughter and she always tell me to wear what I feel comfortable in. I am not going to wear dark colors and like you say "orthopedic shoes" or refuse to wear sleeveless because someone thinks its not age-appropriate.
