  1. Check more than just flight times. I'm a few days away from an international flight and decided to click on view seats. I had already upgraded to economy plus and handpicked my seats. Apparently, they changed the aircraft but not the flight number or times, so no notification was sent out. My economy plus seats on my original flight became economy non reclining seats in front of the lavatories. Thank goodness I checked and could still move my seats.

  2. Europe 2022 opened up and my husband was always interested in Norwegian Fjords (Bergen, Skjolden/Sognefjord, Olden, Stavanger). We were about to book when I noticed the 7 day Scandinavia (Kristiansand, Copenhagen, Skagen, Oslo) that also includes a few days in Norway but also includes Denmark. They are one week apart, both on the Sky Princess, both 7 days, both roundtrip London, same price. Any thoughts on one versus the other. I'm having a hard time deciding.

  3. Agree. The first day was interesting, but then it seems a way to get people to bingo because they make you wait until the end of bingo to give you that days clues. HOWEVER, I went to everything and wrote down every clue and solved for the murderer. My daughter copied my answers and actually won the drawing at the end. She won a giant bag of candy and a bottle of champagne. They only include the champagne when the winner is over 21. Because of winning, it was fun.

  4. I'm recently off the Vista. I was worried after reading recent reviews, but I enjoyed the ship and the spaces. I had fixed time dining, so I didn't have any issues with lines at dining, and I booked specialty restaurants months in advance. I never had any trouble getting into the comedy clubs. We even stayed through a show, got back on line, and got right back in. Many of the spaces are smaller, but there are so many simultaneous activities, it was manageable. There were even chairs available by the pool through mid morning. The big negative is probably the big theater which doesn't exist. It is half theater and half nightclub. I made sure I went early for shows. The sight lines are bad from just about everywhere in that odd space. Not for everyone, but I loved the IMAX. That space was amazing and people go even in the middle of a beautiful sunny day. I will admit I like the Breeze better because it is a prettier ship.

  5. Just off the Vista. They were tossing everybody who looked young the first few days, but after they embarrassed and screamed at my young looking 20 year old daughter, accused my 87 year old mother of lying, and threatened to call security if they didn't leave, we met with the entertainment director and they stopped checking. I don't mind following the rules but they need a better system than eyeballing people. They could have easily run my daughters card and avoided the whole scene.

  6. I'm planning on getting the hub app on my upcoming Vista cruise. I've seen the directions and they state to put your phone on airplane mode and activate wifi. If I put my phone on airplane mode, I can't receive phone calls or texts. It's not that I'm planning on receiving calls or texts but I'd like to leave my phone number in case of emergency. The person watching my house doesn't use social media so could only call or text in an emergency. I know calls/texts are pricey, and I'm not expecting an emergency, but I'd like to be reachable, just in case. Are there any other options such as turning off mobile data? I have an android if that helps. Appreciate any advice.

  7. We just did bus up and train back with Chilkoot. We chose that direction mainly because we prefer starting an hour later at 830. The whole tour actually took 8 hours because construction made all of the buses late to the train. Chilkoot has one car on the train. The rest of the train is filled with cruise ship passengers, so don't worry. The ship won't leave missing a few hundred people. We had a great time on this trip.

  8. Just back from the May 16 sailing. The Grand was grand and I loved it, but there were drips and pails and I met a family that needed their room changed because of a drip. There were also some plumbing problems in the dolphin 500s, odd numbered side that were cleared up pretty quickly. And oh yes, we were awakened at 4:30 one morning for an emergency in the engine control room. However do not fret, I would sail her again next week if I could.
