  1. We booked our choice air in the Spring when my son and family decided to go. Depending on the route, airline and time of year it has varied from about $490 to $570. A lot depends on how many stops you want to make. Flying direct from Reno to Europe is nigh on impossible. We are going Reno to San Francisco to Dulles to Dublin and paid $525 each.

We are staying at Bewleys at the Airport and booked it thru Hotels.com. It was in our price range and has a free shuttle from the airport.

We booked an all day tour from Tour Dublin that will take in the countryside, some historical sights and at least one castle( for my daughter in law). He has different ones and will customize. We booked online the Hop On Hop Off for a day in Dublin and the Guiness Brewery(for my son). My husband and I are taking the day we arrive to get adjusted and rested up from jet lag as we are in our 70's. The kids have rented a car and driver that day to take them to Galway and the area where they filmed The Quiet Man.

Hope that helps. We did a lot of research before we booked anything as that is part of the fun for me .

  2. We are doing exactly that this year before the Independence TA. We are flying from Reno to Dublin and staying 3 nights. We booked that on choice air. We are then taking Aer Lingus into Heathrow. We booked that are our own as we wanted to get there quickly in order to spend some in London before heading to the port. We had no trouble at all booking it.
