  1. When I attempt to sign in to the celebrity website  on my MacBook it says "400 Request header or cookie to large".  It does not give me the option of changing password .  I changed the password  on my phone today but this did not help anything.  This has been going on for a few weeks.  IOS is up to date.  Any suggestions?.  TIA

Oh my, where to start?  It depends very much on your interests.

Academia, yes.  Uffizzi no, we were bored.  Sorry!  Santa Croce is much more interesting than the Duomo except that if you are up for it, excuse the expression, you must climb to the top of the Brunelleschi dome.  The same ticket will take you to the top of the Campanile.  Palazzo Vecchio is worth the visit.  Walk across the Arno and up to Piazza Michelangelo for a great view back across Florence.  Rent a Ferrari for twenty minutes.  If you have time, go to the top of the hill to San Miniato.  Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli gardens.  There's a super museum, the Galileo, just upstream from Uffizzi if you are interested in science and engineering.  Incredible what these renaissance pioneers got up to.  On the way to Mercato Centrale you will pass through the San Lorenzo street market.  OK, enough, already.

Thank you.  You all have given me much to look into

  3. Hi. My husband and I  have never been to Florence and our cruise is going to be overnight in La Spezia and leave at 6 pm the next day (one night).  I was thinking of getting a hotel in Florence and going to the Academia and maybe other attractions.  Is this doable?   What other attractions would you recommend?  We want to do a walking tour at night which we have booked.   How do I get to and fro Florence and  are there any recommended hotels ( or B&B)  near the city center?  We are also docking in Santa Margherita so I am not interested in cinque Terre (sp) from La Spezia.  Also is it worth stopping at Pisa to hold up the leaning tower?  TIA

My TA is having a celebrity representative over tomorrow, she promised to ask him about my situation, and will hopefully report back.

Still very interested in hearing about others' experience in similar situations, or just with the Premium Access in general.

please report back when you hear

  5. HI.  I did a search and could not find this on cruise critic.  has great reviews.  it is on via di san Giovanni in Laterno.  Does anyone know about this B&B and is the area safe?  TIA

Had 'premium' wifi on my last TA (Oct-Nov '23) and no big issues. Was able to stream YT without major hiccups.

Starlink makes it more reliable than whatever was there before, but you are still on a moving platform, in the middle of the ocean, and bouncing off several satellites 🙂

The biggest question is how much are you willing to pay/day for it though, and snap that deal once it comes 😉 (i.e. set yourself a limit and if the prices go down and hit it, just do it)

    Thank you

  7. Hi. This is my first cruise since 2019 so I have  a few Wi-Fi questions to ask.  Does the wi fi work when you are out on open seas crossing the Atlantic?   Also if you pay for it before hand  on a “flash deal” ( I do not have it included in my cruise rate)   can I still get the Captains Club discount on top of that and if so how.   TIA

Similar situation for us too. We are pescatarian and my wife must be gluten free. We have found that Celebrity does a better than average job overall with specialty diets and Blu is way above average!

I’ll be in the mdr but am also gluten free. I have traveled both in aqua and mdr gluten free and they do a good job.  They have gf bread usually and I get it toasted. Join our roll call

  9. Has anyone heard any news of the Celebrity Reflection response to the Nov. 26, 2017 mayday?

Has the sunken ship been identified or how many were aboard?

We were impressed by the Reflections response to the mayday.

Hi. I have a little bit of video on it. Apparently there was an RIB type of vessel like a zodiac partly sunk. The captain was on stage discussing navigation when he got a phone call and said he had to go because of the vessel. A lot of people thought he was kidding as just a few moments previous to that he got a call from his daughter. The vessel looked to be empty and he announced no survivors found. Dh saw. A life vest on the ship. They marked it and sent it a drift. Speculation was that it was a dingy that came loose from a boat, yacht etc.

  10. hi. On the reflection right now on the way back to the U S for disembarkation tomorrow am. The captain *✈️ was giving a lecture about navigation around 1030 this am when he got a call that there was a shipwreck near us and he went to the bridge We stopped and they checked out a vessel that looked like an R I B type zodiac. The captain said no survivors were found. We did see a life vest still on board the vessel. Not sure if the vessel was one that strayed away from the main vessel it was attached to or one that had someone on it. No idea. The crew was great.

Also extra sanitation is going on. Many people sick with GI problems. Won’t be posting again till landfall or later. Overall a wonderful cruise

  11. Just off the vision today. Had my time dining but with a set time and it was ok. Food was ok , not terrific except for the duck and tenderloin. Service was good. Staff was pleasant. Did not have a problem getting a drink the few times I did. Not a lot of daytime entertainment besides trivia and towel folding. Not a lot of kids. I was told by one of the staff average age was 65. Crowded diamond lounge. Thankfully the diamond lounge had good coffee. An ok cruise but nothing wowed me. There was Noro on board.
