I definitely wouldn't pay $200 for it. Some of the ones on Oasis are in poor location or positioned strangely. Majority sat empty on my 8.28 sailing.
They were all filled on our 9/11 Oasis sailing. The ship was so crowded (over 100% occupancy) that there were people crowded all around the casitas. Agree they are strangely positioned. I definitely would never pay $200 for one even if I had money to burn.

Yes. Most definitely would if the price difference was great enough.

Is there parking at the port , like there is at Cape Liberty? We were just going to drive up the day of the cruise. We live in Connecticut.
When I visit the port site the link to parking looks like a public lot that is 1/2 a mile away.

Am I missing something?
Thank you.

I literally just received an email at 10:16 pm that they have received my request an applied my credit. Now I need to check my cruise planner.

You have some more time. I will be calling them tomorrow.

Have you checked your Cruise Planners? That is where ours shows up, although we usually do receive a new guest invoice also, showing it has been applied.
Have a great time on your respective cruises!
Yes. I checked it this afternoon and still wasn’t showing. Thank you.

Same with me. Sent in the email application last week I sent them an email yesterday asking if it had been approved. All I got were 'cricket sounds'.
When is your sailing? Ours is on Sunday.

I put my request in on October 1st and I have not received confirmation from them. I did the electronic request form online. I emailed them on Friday and still no response. In the past it would take 24 -48 hours at the most to get confirmation. Our cruise is in 6 days. 😩😢

The big lab outfits (Quest and Labcorp) keep sending me emails advertising tests. Several urgent care chains near me offer both tests with no appt required. All have locations in northern NYC suburbs.
I live in CT. I tried Quest none in CT are doing them. I even registered for an account. There are plenty of places to get PCR testing but few for rapid antigen. I wish the cruise line would let us get 72 hour PCR test.

Great now I am nervous all over again. We have ours scheduled at CVS for 10/15 for our 10/17 cruise. There are not many options for antigen testing.
-
I ordered the 2 pack kit from Optum on September 23. My credit card was charged immediately but I still have not received an email saying they were shipped. So now I am wondering where they are. I also wish I had read up on these tests prior to ordering. I would have just ordered the 6 pack kit directly from emerging and not Optum.
I wish we had 72 hours prior to get the testing done. This just adds more stress than it's worth.

Thanks so much for your live thread. I learned a lot.

We are sailing on Oasis on October 17th. My DH is 68. Does he need to run out now to get his 3rd Pfizer shot? This entire thing is stressful enough.

If I book without wine but have The Premium Drink package can I just order my own glass of wine for each course that would be included in the package? $199 is a bit steep. For that much money I would want the meal to make me look 20 years younger.
On another note The Captain posted an incredible pic of the full moon on Instagram. Did you get to witness that?

Our regular table is at the back of the upper dining room. Just walking to our table before anyone is seated requires moving chairs so we can pass. After dinner, if we leave before everyone clears out, finding a path is frustrating.
This doesn't sound good at all. We will boarding Summit on June 27th and have traditional late seating dinner. My DH usually has to excuse himself at least once during dinner to use the men's room. This will be our 18th cruise on Summit. I don't remember it being like that prior. Have you spoken to the Hotel Director. Danita about this?
Also I asked previously in this thread if anyone knew if the MDR menus are also being redone but never received a response.
Thanks.

Are the MDR menus being updated or just Blu and Luminae?
Also thank you for you wonderful Live posting. We will be boarding on June 27th.

The amount is less, I believe, for 6-13 day cruises but is better than nothing.
https://www.rclinvestor.com/faqs/shareholder-benefit/
They took away the increase for cruises 10 nights to 13 which is $200. We received $200 on our 11 night Azamara cruise and are getting $200 on our upcoming 10 night Summit cruise. This is disappointing they cut that out.
Shareholder Benefit
$250 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 14 or more nights.
$200 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 10 to 13 nights.
$100 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 6 to 9 nights.
$ 50 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 5 nights or less -
I have had the shareholder OBC applied to my last 2 cruises where we either booked on board and had OBC from that or had other perks. Both cruises booked prior to June 1st.
Our Azamara cruise we sailed back in April was booked back in 2017 on board Summit and our upcoming Summit cruise was booked back in April and we were given our shareholder benefit for both sailings.

Thank you so much for sharing you thoughts. I am so sorry to hear you experienced problems with service.
Brent Nixon was our naturalist on our 2005 Summit Alsaka cruise. I guess he's like doing that.

Thanks, even when we had to take the bus to the terminal, parking was way more convenient. Can we get to the parking lot without the bus service now?
Yes.

Sorry about the rain a year ago. We will be going on Summit in a year for 10 days. Are you suggesting we find other parking arrangements?
Thanks.
Actually parking at the pier is still the best option if you are driving up to the port. I just wish RCI would have them redo the ouside lots since they now have 2 RCCL ships and a Celebrity ship all sailing out of there from May - October.

We remember those spray paint days. I believe that issue has been resolved :).
Hank
Very well since we had $800 damage done to our car.
I can't believe they have not resurfaced the outdoor parking lots while only 1 ship is in port. Last May we had to park outside. It rained the entire week we were gone. There were huge puddle filled craters we need to dodge while rolling our luggage back to our car. I am shocked they raised parking to $22. They should only charge $15 if you are forced to park outside.
Does Post Pandemic cruising compare to pre Pandemic of 2019 ?

We have done 2 Summit cruises since the restart and food and service and supply chain issues have really hurt this ship. We are boarding her again tomorrow and we will see if things have improved.
On the other hand our cruises on RCCL Oasis (2) and RCL Anthem (2) were better than our 2 Summit sailings.
I am sure Celebrity's newest ships are not having the same issues as Summit but a corporation should try and have their product consistent throughout the fleet. If our May 23, 2022 Summit cruise was our first Celebrity cruise we most likely would be trying other lines before going back.
