  1. Well, I called 866 266 0212 and the guy there told me that they had gotten a lot of calls regarding messed up points and certs. He said the only way to get it corrected is to write a letter and open an investigation. He said that they can't see my account any longer, which I am calling BS on...I can see my statement that clearly show how many points I had at the end of Dec. I told the rep I think it's crappy that BOA KNOWS there is a problem and that the consumers are having to do the leg work through written correspndance.

    This just reminds me why I closed my bank account with BOA years ago and why I was hesitant to open this card!

  2. Count me in as another account screwed up. My statement clearly shows 531 points at the end of my Dec statement. Today I received 2 $100 certs. This is sooo frustrating. I hate the thought of the run-around phone call that I am about to put myself through. Will let everyone know how it turns out!

  3. Thanks for your quick responses. They were just what I expected..."who knows now?":confused: I guess it is worth the risk. I have to pay the balance of the trip eventually. And that is the ONLY way I can get that many points so quickly or at least the most sensible way. If they credit me GREAT if they don't I would have had wasted points anyway. So since I like to gamble, here goes!!:D

  4. I am sure this has been asked/answered somewhere, somehow on this board, but I want to ask the question as it pertains to me. I owe $3129. for my cruise. If I pay $3000 on my NCL card today, I will earn 120 points. This will put me over the amount needed for 500 points=$500 voucher. It will also leave a $129 balance not due until March. I am leaving the balance so that if the price drops, I am still elligible for the drop as well. When I request my certificate and I send it in with for my final payment there will be an overage of $371. Do they credit my NCL card or what happens to that overage?

  5. A quick note about buying gift cards, a story on the news the other night warned about buying gift cards for Christmas due the uncertains times of many retailers. So if you are buying several just to get the points, make sure it is a stable company, if there are any at this time:confused:

  6. We just got our card a couple of months ago. We have accumlated 197 points, although I am sure after the next billing statement it will be over 200. What will that get for us. I do not quite understand the upgrade portion of the program.

  7. After reading all of these posts and happy awards points members, my husband and I applied for this card. We received our card today and I tried to do the on-line bill pay so that all of our bills our paid from this card the way many of you said you do. A BOA rep told me that they are doing away with the bill pay from credit cards. She says that BOA has never done this and it is only on old MBNA accounts and that are phasing that service out for everyone!!! This is the number I called and got this information from-card services at 800-887-5749. If you are as unhappy about this change as I am, please let them know.

     

    She says you can still set up the bill pay through the individual companies, but that really takes away the convenience of the card!
