Anyone ever win a free cruise for winning the slot tournaments onboard ? What does the free cruise entail ?

I won the slots tournament on the Oasis in Sep/12. It was a $25 entry fee and had 82 participants which was the minimum number to win a free cruise and entry into the Royal Slots tournament. My free cruise was on the Liberty in Dec./13. It was for 2 and we were booked in an ocean view cabin. We had to pay tips.

The Royal Slots tournament was well organized and was over 3 days. The 1st night was a free cocktail party for participants and their guest. I think there were 162 entrants and 3 rounds in total. The winner of each group in each round won $500. I made it to the final round of 5 people. They gave us a private cocktail party which included a couple of the ship's officers.

I placed 5th and overall I won $4,000 and the winner won over $20,000. In total there was over $90,000 in prizes.

The people running the tournament did a great job.

It was a fantastic event and hopefully I can win another tournament and get an entry into the Royal Slots tournament again.

I recently won a slots tournament and now qualify for the "Royal Slot Tournament" in December,2013 on the Liberty. In the Casino they took my personal information and gave me a form letter which states there is an estimated prize pool of $100,000.

Has anybody had experiences with this tournament recently and would you be able to tell me about the number of participants and actually monies won.

Is it worth the cost of paying for flights, etc. for a free 5 night cruise?
