My friend is on Firenze right now. She said that on Sea Days you can go to MDR and you have a choice of sit down and order off a menu or they have a buffet area. She says you get seated by the host and it’s very nice.

Just off Magic and I’m platinum. I have never used this perk because I am funny about my laundry. I did laundry mid cruise. $3.50 each and in and out quick. I bring my own detergent and sheets.

I guess I was hallucinating when I left out of San Juan.
Carnival used to depart from there…currently they are not. We loved it so much we did it 4 cruises in a row !

I saw a woman on debarkation morning grab 12 slices of toast. She sat and buttered every single one of them and put them in a container. The people sitting next to her ( I was across) just stared. She didn’t care at all that people were watching ! I guess they were too cheap to stop for lunch on the way home. People are ridiculous!

Yes, we had a trash can in one bathroom and in the common area of the stateroom, but the common areas of the boat has no trash cans. The bathrooms that offer paper towels have a small bucket (labeled for paper only)if there isn't a small trash integrated into the counter/cabinet.
Yes, that pizza is good! I wonder if it's the same recipe on all carnival ships???
Sorry, I misread that. I thought you were talking about your room. Yes, outside, I put my glass or can on an already dirty table.
As far as the pizza, I’ve been on 14 different ship and the pizza is pretty consistent from the pizza place. I’ve never ordered from room service or went to the late night buffet. I’ve heard it’s different there. -
Strange…. 18 cruises with Carnival and there has always been a trash can in the room, usually under the desk area and one in the bathroom. Love the pizza !

If you’ve never been…at the minimum, enjoy the tender ride and walk around. Now you can say you’ve been to Belize. We took a Carnival tour to the Mayan ruins. It was a long ride but beautiful. I highly recommend a Carnival excursion so if anything happens, the ship will wait on you.

I like using the messaging. It’s handy when we go our separate ways for lunch or breakfast…and when one gets a table, we can let each other know where we are sitting. Worth the 5$ each.

I add them on board as needed. What’s left over (over$10.) will be refunded by a gift card mailed to you after sailing. I try not to add too much, to avoid dealing with a refund.

I am getting ready for cruise #19 …all with Carnival for me ( hubby has done Disney and NCL). I have found that there are areas for all. We don’t drink much and can find an area to drink or areas to find quiet ! Areas to laugh and areas to relax.
I hope you go in with an open mind and get rid of the expectations. I find the “party ship” and “Walmart of the seas” very offensive. We are professionals who start our work day early. So sometimes we are ready for sleep early. I have never needed earplugs for people, but I have for ship noise (wind etc). I suggest bringing a pair just in case. Also, choose your room away from noisy places.
Happy sailing.- 1

I’m nervous, the Comfort Inn got pretty bad reviews. Anyone else have other ideas or recent experience?
Thanks -
I just read on another cruise page, that they stopped because they found a boat with men in it off the coast of Cuba. Waiting on the coast guard. Not sure if it’s true …. Just what I read.

I am very excited for your second review on Venezia ! We are missing you by a couple of cruises 🙁 I too am excited that Lee Mason will be with us ! He is my favorite by far !
We are looking at going to Europe for a cruise, so after Venezia, nothing is booked. Have you been on a European cruise ? Any recommendations if yes ?

I didn't think this was recommended as the phone can interfere with the card and make it unusable?
My daughter started using the stick on sleeve in college (2017) and has never had a problem. She still never carries a purse.

I thought so, but just to be sure I checked our Sail & Sign charges. In San Juan we were charged roughly 10% tax on each drink. However, I had 3 drinks while we were docked in St. Thomas and was not charged any tax. Weird. 🙄
Thank you ! 🙂

- We have Your Time Dining. Can we make an exact time booking online? Or do we wait until we board or is it just go anytime and hope it’s not too busy?
- ~ Carnival has an onboard APP ( Hub App) , you check in when you’re ready and it tells you when your table is ready. You can’t pick a specific time with YTD.
- Is it cheaper to buy massages pre cruise or once we get onboard?
- ~ Watch your booking page and emails, sometimes there are discounts. Not sure otherwise.
- We have never been to Amber Cove or Grand Turk. Any recommendations for people that don’t really drink?
-
~ These are free pool and beach days right at the port. Shopping, food is extra but the pool at Amber Cove and the beach are free. - When can we buy tickets for the roller coaster on board?
- ~ Again, the APP lets you check in for the coaster.
- How difficult is it to buy a cabana for a day on the Celebration? I know they are offered to certain suite guests first. Will they go on sale on line, or do we wait until we board?
- ~ Sorry, not sure on this one.
- Royal has “The Key”, does Carnival have anything similar that makes boarding, departure, etc easier for those not in suites?
- ~ Carnival sometimes sells Faster to the Fun, you check under excursions for boarding day. It allows a faster boarding.
Have fun !! We loved Celebration ! Did a B2B recently !

Jamman, sorry to veer off topic. We splurged and got the drink package. We will pay taxes on drinks in San Juan and St. Thomas right ? You stayed on board in San Juan, were the taxes on drinks high ? What about St. Thomas ?
ThanksJen

wow... We haven't been to Disney since our son was a child... he's now 35. Thanks for the pictorial review, as I hardly recognize the "Marketplace"; at least that's what I think it used to be called. Regarding the glass artist - I wonder if he's the artist that sculped the lobby art in the Bellagio Las Vegas.
Or Atlantis ?!

Two adults One Bed
I really don’t want to spend more than $350 a night. Unrealistic probably, but it is what it is.
Thanks
