Yes, we did this last week after getting off the Island Princess. They drop you off in Long Beach down by the aquarium at about 9.15 and pick you up 4 hours later. We got to the airport about 2pm. We went to the aquarium and then just wandered around (lots to see if you haven't been there before) and had lunch. Filled in a few hours. Just a tip - I wouldn't do the aquarium if it was a weekend. It was Saturday when we were there and was fine initially but soon after the place is absolutely filled with kids. A lot of the displays are geared towards children.

we are looking at a Transpacific on the Golden Princess. One of the things that we really like about Princess is the teak deck chairs on the Promenade deck but I have read somewhere that this deck on the Golden Princess is very narrow. Do they have the deck chairs here?

Sorry - should have explained it better - My husband prefers the speciality coffee so normally do buy a card but as this next cruise is only 3 nights I'm trying to figure out if it's worthwhile to buy a card. I drink green tea. The coffee in the HC and MDR is shocking.

can someone tell me what they charge for a coffee (not the brewed stuff) at the IC? Just trying to work out if I should buy the coffee card as it's only a short cruise. Also do they have green tea available under the card?

Has anyone been in an aft cabin on the Fantasia? Any photos? On the deck plan the balcony looks a lot bigger than that of a normal balcony cabin. We have been placed in cabin 10259. Normally I would choice a mid ship location so I'm interested in things such as ship movement etc.
