  1. Some good news just posted on the UK government website?

    All travellers

All travellers arriving into Japan from 29 April will no longer be required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a COVID-19 test result for travellers who are not vaccinated. The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs websites have details of the entry requirements for all travellers to Japan, including the ‘fast track’ entry system. Rules may be subject to change at short notice.

I’d think it may be best to buy a Qured supervised test in UK and book appointment for online  test when you are in your hotel in US. I’d also suggest you travel with it in your carry on baggage.

I am planning on doing the same but did they question the liquid vial being carried as carry on luggage?

Yes, you need a US number.

Thanks for your help on this I did a test booking and it accepted my mobile number so I am hoping that might work and I probably wouldn't get a text but would get the email.  Google Voice doesn't work non UK but I might try via VPN and or a Skype number. What a faff! But I'm feeling a bit better I have a plan b if WiFi let's us down on the proctored test.  UK dropping final travel requirements and form filling.  British Airways dropping masks but only were destination law supports so not US at the moment.

No one at CVS or Walgreens is going to ask for your citizenship, social security number or credit card. Testing is free.  You need a US address, but you can use your hotels or a friends/families.  You also need an email address and a US phone number, but you can use a Google voice number or again a friends or families.  They will get your results texted to them but you will also receive an email.  That's how you do it online, you can probably call to get past the US number thing.  I am American but my partner is British. We go back and forth all the time and we both use CVS.  The US wants anyone in the Country to have access to free testing since it's in the nations best interest to know who has it.

Thank you for your response.  Still nothing from celebrity or the test company in Tampa. Very disappointing.  A bit like our July 21 cruise. But your explanation of process is comforting.  There is a Walgreens near our hotel but not offering a rapid test and over the Easter weekend don't want to risk not getting the results but CVS a bit further out (30 min) is offering rapid test so will fire up my VPN and get a slot.  I will also set up a Google Voice option....oppps tired to download but not available in our country! I will have to see who will accept a text perhaps someone at the hotel.

Still waiting to see what the UK requires for travel from the US and pre-cruise testing for our August cruise out of Southampton.   We have not made flight arrangements yet.  We will probably have to find a pre-cruise test site there unless we can use the proctored method after we arrive there.  We will see if a pre-cruise test period will be 48 hr or switch to 72 hr or just be eliminated by late August.

We used the Regenerative Clinic in Southampton very central in the Westquay Centre (SU67, between New Look and Krispy Kreme), Harbour Parade, Southampton SO15 1QF

  6. I have plan a and plan b for testing if still required by the time we sail  (both have their issues for non US residents without US credit cards and no social security number) but does anyone have experience or has seen evidence of how the dockside on the day testing is working as a back up for UK visitors?  I am getting no response from COVID Testing LLC or Celebrity about the process (I've "registered") and it would put my mind at rest if someone had seen evidence the it was taking place in Tampa at embarkation.

Hi searching for information on the testing for non US nationals for TAMPA departure.  The use of links to the port testing site are not helpful at all.  Can anyone in the know advise me is the testing at the port only on the day of departure? Can a non us national pay for testing anywhere else like Walgreens?

Would really appreciate any suggestions for Tampa testing.

The testing at Southampton airport seems to up until 4th if July which explains both points.   I have booked at a clinic with their own lab at Southampton Southquays who are offering 24to36 hours results for an RT-PCR £99. (Trustpilot read well)

    What a mess!

Sorry that should be West Quay !

Would you please provide some anwers

    1. When you canceled ?  Before or after Costa canceled ?

    2. Did they e-mailed a FCC and you said no ?

    Hi

1-  Costa cancelled my June cruise on 12th May

We asked for refund to cc they said they would do it but it would take some time

    2 - 27th May Costa sent FCC 100%

We asked for refund to cc they said it would take some time, we didn't refuse FCC we just asked for refund again quoting from their own terms and conditions.

    Nothing happens

We then decided to give them 90 days then ask cc for money back

18 July Costa refund appeared on cc unprompted.

    Hope that helps

  12. If it is a credit rather that debit card you have a much longer time.  If you are going to claim via debit or credit card a discussion with ABTA at this stage may just muddy the water.

And the deadline for debit cards if you read the link information above looks to be either from the date of transaction or the date of expected service, this may be of help?

  13. Just got an email from Costa offering me a refund about my cancelled June cruise after a month of waiting for it . I am about to refuse it but for reference it was as expected only 100% + a 200 dollar onboard credit which as you have all said will make little difference if the cruise that I would take to replace it costs considerably more which it shows all signs of doing. I will then give it a while for them to refuse/ignore and go for a section 75 credit card refund.

Where on the site did this come from if it were a valid Costa site why does it commence forms.office and not Costacruises.com? Forms.office.com is a Microsoft form design tool. Please be very careful with this.
