Just curious...how much time/money does one have to spend in the casino to get a free room?

A couple of hours playing cards each night. 3 card poker. Usually $15 per hand.

how many cabins can I book using a 'free' cruise voucher that was earned in the ships casino?

Is it limited to just 1 cabin? Or can I book more than 1?

I used mine on my last cruise. It was just a quick 4 day. I didn't do anything in port except walk from ship to Fat Tuesdays bar. In those 4 days I logged 10.8 miles.

We bring a few hundred in small bills, our tips are pre-paid; we book our excursions thru the ship (I know it's cheaper not too; but I like knowing that if the excursion runs late, they will hold the ship for me) we bring 2 CC with high spending limits (just in case of an emergency) and we use 1 cc for our onboard acct and if we buy anything expensive in port I will use a cc.

There are 3 of us and we don't spend a whole lot.

Other than the obvious tickets, passport, money....my must have list is easy and simple. Sunglasses, a book, camera battery charger, memory cards, travel hand sanitizer (for excursions) sunblock, aloe gel, small first aid kit (ours has band aids, tweezers, neosporin, alcohol wipes, immodium, pepto, bonine, advil, sinus meds, eye drops, ear drops)

Do people actually read on a cruise? when

I read daily. I bring several books with me when on vacation and I've been known to buy more in the gift shops when I've finished the ones I've brought with me. I'm seriously thinking of bringing a bag full of old paperbacks to leave on the ship when we sail in a few weeks.

My wife and I are planning on a very romantic cruise on the Star in January. We are hoping to take our romance onto the balcony on several occasions. Will we have privacy or should we be more discreet in our romancing?
