  1. We did a Celebrity back to back to back 6 years ago (before kids). The first 5 days were on the Millennium and then we were on the Eclipse for two 7 day cruises. We stayed on the Millennium as late as we could. When they finally kicked us off we went outside prepared to take a taxi, but luckily the Eclipse was the next ship over. So we just walked over and they were already starting to take bags. We were Elite status, so they checked us right in.

  2. We've done the Eclipse 3 times and Equinox once. We love the Solstice class! I think it's great for a couple with no kids. The Martini Bar is our favorite late night venue and I don't recall it closing before midnight. We love both Quisine and Murano restaurants.

We now have a 4 year old son, so our next cruise is on the Allure. While we will enjoy this cruise I am hoping to get back on a Solstice class ship when our son is older.

  3. As a Diamond member, three drink coupons are loaded onto your SeaPass daily for use during the DL cocktail hours at most bars around the ship. They are only valid during that time and expire daily. Unlimited cocktails are also available as usual in the DL during that time.

All other tier level coupons are also loaded on your SeaPass v having the paper coupon books.

This is great news! It's been 4 years since we have been on RC and we will be traveling with our 4 year old. We know he is too young to go in the DL, so we figured we would lose out on this benefit on our upcoming Allure cruise. Now we can enjoy a complimentary cocktail while hanging out with our son!

  4. Where on the website will we see it? I did it a few weeks ago, but I don't know where to find it.

I am a new RC credit card holder (through B of A). I saw my reward points on my statement I received in the mail, but when I went online to my account I couldn't see them. I called B of A and they confirmed that you have to go to another site to actually see reward points and request the OBC. I think it's in $50 increments. And if I remember correctly you have up until 4 or 5 business days before your cruise to request the credit.

  5. I just got off the Crown where I had ordered a glass of red wine with dinner on 4 different occasions. They use smaller type glasses, but the pours were very consistent and I would say they were at least 5 oz. or slightly more.

Another thing I noted was that the wines by the glass offerings were not very good or exciting. The bottle list had much better selections, but unfortunately DH wasn't in the mood for wine. I kept trying different wines by the glass hoping they would get better. If I were doing it all over again I would have ordered a bottle or two instead.

  6. We leave tomorrow on an 8 day Mexican Riviera cruise. DH and I were about $3k for a balcony. We paid another $1k for our 3 year old son.

Also wanted to mention that 3 people can only cruise in certain rooms. Even though we promised that our son would sleep in our bed, they would only let us book a room with a pull down third bed (that will never be used on our cruise). There was only one cabin on the whole ship available two months ago when we booked that could accommodate the third passenger.

  7. There is a Kids Menu available that includes Mac and Cheese. Of course there are all sorts of pastas available daily.

This may also be a good time to experiment a little with food! Order a small portion of something new-to-him off the menu and your child may like it. Or go to the buffet and have your son choose his own food; with so much variety, I'm sure there will be something he'll like.

    Cheers!

I agree! I am going to try to encourage new food, but I want to make sure there is something he likes. My husband and I are rather adventurous eaters and we take our son to many restaurants. We always offer him what is on our plates (even at home), but he always declines.

  8. We've been on about 25 cruises, but this will be our first with our 3.5 year old toddler (Crown 12/27 to Mexico). He is really picky about food and eats about ten things, of which Kraft Mac 'n Cheese is his favorite. Has anyone been able to get Kraft Mac 'n Cheese in the MDR or for that matter anywhere on a Princess ship? I'm just trying to figure out how many Goldfish and Cheerios I will have to pack so that my son doesn't starve!!!

  9. I drive that route daily for work. At 10am on a Wed there should be minimal routine traffic on the freeway (you will take the 105 to the 405 to the 110 freeways) . If there are two or more of you I would probably take a taxi. It shouldn't cost too much more and you are not waiting for others to fill up a van or bus. If you are adventurous try Uber.

  10. Deck - 11

    Cabin # - 1676

    Class – Concierge C1

Starboard or Port Side - Aft

Bed near?(balcony or bath) - Bath

Quiet Cabin - A little bit of noise outside the cabin in the morning from the room stewards' carts. Otherwise the only noise was at sail away if we were on our balcony we could hear the singing guitar player at the back of the Ocean View Cafe (2 decks up) or Sunset Bar (3 decks up); we enjoyed it!

Balcony View - Beautiful! Loved the aft view. Will do it again!

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized; the cabin next door looked slightly bigger. We had a sail away party for 6 of us and we all fit on the balcony.

    Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? A little; we asked the room steward to clean it off and they also washed the balcony several times during our 14 day cruise. The pros outway the cons.

Any specific problems with this cabin? A little far from the elevators, but we didn't mind the walk. Also the room stewards put their carts near this room. Again, we didn't mind as we knew their closet was what gives us the bigger balcony.

Any other comments? Room steward Vilma on the Eclipse was great!
