  1. FTTF is sold out and we don't have priority boarding

FTTF may open back up as the cruise date gets closer. Check VERY early the day after final payments are due. Then check back often. Someone on your roll call may also post if it opens.

The day after final payment openings sold out very fast for us, but just a few days ago it opened up again. They release a number of FTTF based on the number of platinum and diamond guests booked.

  2. I have never heard of this, but we are doing the Magic in July for my kids graduation present. We are neighbors, You HAVE to let me know how the Magic & tasting bar was. (Live in Canton she is a "Park" senior")

Boy we ARE neighbors, aren't we. (waving to you from Plymouth)

  3. My wife and I will be in San Juan on Sunday Aug 28 from 3PM to 11 PM we are planning on touring 1 of the forts and then having dinner , we are looking for a restaurant to go to and have Mofango for dinner within walking distance from either the cruise port or the forts that has authentic PR food that will not break the bank , does anyone have any specific recommendations ?

So what did you end up doing and how was it?

  4. I too collect sea glass. Thanks for the tips for GT. The smaller islands we've been to in Fiji have been a gold mine! :)

Anyway, thought I would just share my latest find to display my sea glass. It looks really great in these, especially if you can find some other colors other than the white and green.

You can also get these blocks at Hobby Lobby and they go 50% off every other week.

  5. Seems like a lot to me too, it's only about 6 mi /9 Km, takes about 13 minutes on Google maps to the mountain. Anywhere else in the Caribb that would be about $10-15. We want to take it to the cable car and hike up Mt. Isabel. I saw somewhere that as usual, the cabs at the dock are expensive, and if you walk outside the dock area they are much cheaper. That's the way it was in P. Valarta, cab to town was $10 at the dock, $5 about 1/3 mile out at the highway plaza, and locals/residents even got it for $2 from the Walmart plaza there. The Riu Resort complex right next to the Amber Cove dock probably has lots of cabs. Has anyone else checked out the cabs?

That is because they have to be registered to enter the cruise area to pick up patrons. Carnival has to get their piece of the pie.

  6. We had a pool cabana at amber cove. We LOVED it. The pool is awesome. We also did the water slides and zip lines. All are right there at the pool.

Do you think the zipline is good for beginners?

  7. When traveling I like to try "the" dish of the area, which, I have determined, is mofongo in Puerto Rico. Where can I find the best representation of the dish and which kind is the best to order? I would also love to hear about other things that must be tried.

    Thanks!
