When I booked I asked if I could come a day early and was told yes, is your airfare showing when you go under my vacations?

Yes you can go in or return a day or two early/ late. BUT you have to talk to the air department to get that deviation. Have you talked to them?
For customized air arrangements, call 1-866-625-1163

I got a $100 credit for my air deviation, $50 for 2 of 3 people on the cruise, for 2 day deviations on both ends of the cruise.

I don’t cruise until September so I don’t have flights yet. However, I do see the air fare and the deviation credit on my statement.

  2. Last July we used a pharmacy outside Termini. The free pop up tent lines were too long at Termini so we went across the street. The pharmacy had our results in 20 minutes or so.  I don’t remember how much it cost. Delta airlines accepted the test result.
We did not use the testing at the airport, however.

  3. Hi Froufie,

I am gluten intolerant too. I just got off of Fascination 2 weeks ago and have cruised on NCL since finding out the problem was gluten. I didn't have any gluten reaction problems from eating on either line. I did tell both lines when I booked that I needed GF.

On both lines, the waiter in the main dining room at dinner will give you the menu for the following night and you have to place your order. I didn't care for having to decide the day before but that's the way they do it. I was also asked about breakfast. I could place a breakfast order if I was planning on eating in the dining room. But I like the omelet station so only ate in the dining room once on the sea day, delicious Texas french toast, as this was a port intensive cruise.

I asked for tiramisu and the chef made it. I mostly had warm chocolate melting cake for desert.

I asked for the bacon mac and cheese and the chef made a huge bowl of GF bacon mac and cheese. I also got GF french onion soup which was very good.

The waiter brought GF bread most evenings, it wasn't the best tasting but it wasn't horrible. It was better toasted.

I did have problems with the orders not being correct the next night -on a couple nights, mostly the apps and deserts. "if the chef can make xyz GF then I will have that, if not I'll have Casear salad" I did this twice on apps and once I was pretty sure the xyz would be easy to do, but they brought Casear salad, the other night they brought both. ? Another night I asked for a desert- which had to be made GF- and I was served WCMC. The main courses were correct. I didn't go hungry.

I usually don't eat at the buffet and being GF now makes it hard. There aren't any signs about contents, possibility of cross contamination by people moving utensils, and no one to ask at the buffet area. The chocolate buffet was disappointing. It was mostly glutenful. I didn't know they had GF pizza and didn't go ask. Darn.

GF ordering on the cruise was easier than most restaurants. Last year on NCL they had english muffins and I could get eggs benedict. :) I didn't think about it on Carnival. Darn again. But like I said I didn't go hungry.

  4. I only went to 1 full show and made it to the last half of another show. The comedians changed halfway through the cruise. I laughed, I thought they were funny. It was the family show and it wasn't crowded. I didn't make it to the adult only shows, so I don't know about those.

The beginning had B.T. and Steve Burr, they must have gotten off in Barbados. Barbados and St. Lucia nights did not have Punchliner listed. Next Punchliner listed was St. Kitts with Steven Michael Quezada and Jeff Norris.

I did listen to After School Special a couple of times on deck 9. Fiona was a good singer and sometimes people were dancing there.

I am having cruise withdrawal--I had to fix my own dinner last night. :o

  5. I have had my d10 for almost 4 yrs. I haven't had any problems until this cruise. Our first port was Cozumel and we went to Chankanaab. It was working when I went out snorkeling, but not when I came back to shore. The LCD screen was black. It would still take photos, but you couldn't see what you were getting.

So now to find another underwater camera.......

  6. Hotwire on 5/30/12 for stay 6/23 to 6/27

Got the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken, NJ at $138/nt + taxes

4 star, jersey city, north bergen, hoboken zone,

right on the hudson river. Ferry terminal and bus stop close by to get to Manhattan.

    Looking forward to it!

Ooops forgot I was on the west coast departures board. But if anyone is taking an east coast departure cruise too.

  7. Boingy300- We are neighbors. I live just up 75 a little ways. I graduated from UC College of Pharmacy in 2007. Boy am I glad that drive is over. I hope you have a good trip! We'll be right behind you.

Jina- Thanks for the info. I think we are going to reserve our tickets. We don't have much time in Seattle and I don't want to 'waste' any. My mom and aunt work for Honeywell- used to be Grimes Aerospace- and they build lights and light up panels for airplanes. So, they are interested to see the installation of their work into a plane.
