  1. Question for you all. I did a status match back in 2014 and was matched to Black. We have taken cruises on MSC in 2014, 2016 and 2018 (July). All of them we been Black and all of them we have been in the YC. I just logged into my account to book another cruise and it lists me as Welcome (Orange) with no past booking history. Anyone else having a loss of status and history on there accounts?

  2. Anyone have any inside information on when and what the next NCL Promo will be? The Tax one doesn't do anything for the cruises I am looking at. The OBC they offered last week would be nice to come back.

  3. In my two times in the YC on the Divina, we did one on 15 and one on 16. We felt it did not matter on the floor. No free internet anywhere on the ship. However, you can use the MSC web app to IM people on the boat for free. The web app is slow but free to use on the wifi. The free MSC Black meals are a set menu at either Eatly Steakhouse or Galaxy. I have seen a few posts of the menu's for Le Muse in this board, a search should provide the links you are looking for. Le Muse is heavy on seafood dishes most nights. Better or not is very subjective.

  4. We just got off the Divina today, so if you are on that ship shorts are allowed on the two causal days in LeMuse. The first and last day of the cruise. They want long pants on the other days. They will make a comment if you arrive in shorts about the dress code but will not turn you away for that seating. I never saw a person that got the "talk" turn up in shorts a second time so I can't comment if they would really turn you away. This applies only to dinner seatings. Lunch shorts were allowed every day.

  5. The Schengen Area encompasses most EU States, except for Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland, Romania and the United Kingdom. However, Bulgaria and Romania are currently in the process of joining the Schengen Area. Of non-EU States, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein have joined the Schengen.

They have abolished passport and any other type of border control at their mutual borders. It mostly functions as a single country for international travel purposes, with a common visa policy.

  6. We have also made the jump to MSC YC from NCL Suites/Haven because the suite prices have become insane in our mind. We still check NCL monthly to see if we can find any deals for dates we can sale but for our three past cruises MSC YC has come in $2,000 or more less. Other than smaller rooms the YC is superior than the haven in our book. However, MSC's website is not for the faint of heart. It is pretty much total crap.

  7. Does anyone know if MSC has a form or what the requirments are from the other parent to take our child on the cruise with us? We have done it with NCL and they have a form and want a letter from the other parent. I have not been able to find any info on the MSC USA website about this.

    Thanks.

  8. For non breakaway class ships their is normally 2 shows a night one around 7-7:30pm and another around 9-9:30pm. On breakaway class ships you make reservations for the shows and they range in times from 6:30pm through 11:30pm.

  9. rvsullivan, can you post a screenshot of the summary of charges showing the OBC listed in the detail? I have done mock bookings everyday this week and it is not listed anymore. I see the pictures on the categorys still have the OBC graphic along with the text in the description but it does not show in the summary of charges which is the only thing that matters for proof to NCL when you go to get it.

Again, as of five minutes ago I did a mock booking for 11/15 out of Tampa. It clearly gave me the $300 suite OBC. Not sure where everyone is looking, but I get it every time I try.

It was gone while they were doing the 10% off as they could not be combined.

  10. Last week I started tracking a cruise out of Tampa in 10/15 and the $300 Suite OBC was listed, I have been waiting for the next DASH sale which should hit in the next week or two if they keep to normal NCL promo rotations to combine the OBC's but when I checked today all reference on the website to 9 month suite OBC is gone. Any ideas on what happened and if it gone for good or if NCL is about to roll out something new?
