All Inclusives are a good option. I love them but for me its the flights that are a possible source of transmission. Another great place is Costa Rica in a condo of your choosing from the different types that are available. Wonderful country and a great opportunity to see more of it. Our first visit was as a cruise port stop and since then we have done a lot of land based stays.  Now that I think of it, there are so many cruise ports where we said, what a great place, we should come back here sometime!

Don't put your hopes on a vaccine. Its still not confirmed by the experts when that will be coming out. Personally I would not put money down on a cruise for 2021. The USA is getting higher and higher numbers of deaths so I doubt if Europe will be welcoming Americans into their ports in 2021. Lets hope for the best but plan for the worst. There are other attractive travel options in USA itself. Beautiful parks, resorts that all need customers.

We are not planning any cruises. It was an attractive travel option but not now. I had a Bali Land Tour booked in March and the Tours and Flights are still in limbo with my Insurance company. You find out how good your paid up insurance really is when you actually have to make a claim!

THis article names Princess as the "Poster Child" of most diseases. One of the arguments is the quick turnaround time between cruises is woefully ineffective for adequate cleaning. He also makes a case for CEO's blaming passengers when in reality the ships are already contaminated before the new passengers embark. Before we start to cruise again, I would really like some concrete assurances that this will not continue.

We will be only doing the port stops, no car rental. I have phoned all of these places and made our "action plan" for fabric shopping! Thanks all!

Not that you asked but our Norwegian Hawaii was wonderful on Pride of America because it docks in Honolulu so a 7 day cruise really is 7 days spend in Hawaiian ports. It is the only line that does that. We spent a week in Honolulu and then a week aboard followed by a week in Kauai. Also, the coffee is the best, used Kona coffee from the Island. Not a biggy for everyone but having an espresso machine available with quality coffee for use made our mornings!

I am not a soda lover and wondering if the water from the taps, well where does it come from? Is it dreadful taste wise?

HAL has been going to Alaska for 70 years and considered by many to be the best but the demographic is older and the ships smaller. I like the smaller ships especially as they tour Glacier Bay. The educational sessions are excellent if you like that sort of thing,

We have seen whales and orca and once orca hunting salmon. The poor salmon hid under our boat and escaped the jaws!

Ok so DH is not going, as after much research there is no Insurance Company that will cover hime. Thanks for all you input though.

I was told coverage over 65 for only 3 days.

I just checked and its 4 days but you can buy extra days.

No its the family doctor actually.

His family doctor says that is fine as long as he is feeling ok. She just suggested checking the insurance well for coverage.
