Can you tell us what cabin you were in? Thanks
We were in cabins 4138 and 4140. I would say the view from 4140 was slightly better.

I wanted to share that we had a wonderful time on the Koningsdam May 1-13. We loved the ship, and it was in very good shape. We also all loved the music theme throughout – from the décor to the various music productions and bands. We are aged 5 to 75, so there was really something for everyone.
We had partially obstructed balcony cabins on Deck 4. The view was totally fine and we could see everything for the most part, except the water directly below us, so we found this option to be a good value for us. And the proximity to both the dining room and Lido was great.
The staff,as always, went above and beyond to make our time on board enjoyable.
Our Captain Darin Bowland announced he would be moving on to Captain the Nieuw Statendam. We also heard that while in drydock, the Billboard Lounge and Lincoln Center Stage of the Koningsdam will undergo some changes based on feedback (among other changes they will be making).
If anyonehas any questions, I'm happy to answer as best I can.

Thank you, that is very helpful to our planning!

Thank you Rick! Also, what is the location to board the ship in Bordeaux?

Returned Sunday after the Uniworld Bordeaux riverboat cruise. All I can say is that it is amazing! the wines, the food, the sights were all first class.
Had no rain the entire week with temps in the mid 80's.
Be happy to answer any questions....
A great trip if you love food and wine..though there are other highlights as well.

Hi Rick - I will be taking that cruise in October and would love to hear any of your must-sees or must-dos, outside of the planned excursions. Also, did you stay in Bordeaux before or after the cruise? We will be staying the night before and would love any tips.
Thanks! Rosalynd

Thank you both for your thoughts. I'm sure the steamed rice will be fine, as will the salmon, it's the miso soup and tamagoyaki that may not be (the soup could be made with a wheat base or include non-gluten free soy sauce). I will definitely ask in the dining room! As much as I love my poached eggs with hollandaise and bacon, I want to try to have at least a few healthy breakfasts :)

Hello! I am getting excited for our upcoming Eurodam cruise and wanted to ask if anyone knows if the Japanese breakfast (miso soup, etc) is gluten free?
Thanks in advance for any insights.

We just did that cruise last September. We woke up early (I think around 5:00am) to watch the trip through the archipelago. It was beautiful and worth getting up early. We were on the Marina, and they set up early coffee/tea/juices plus some baked goods in Horizons which was a nice touch for the early risers.
Can you have lunch in dining room on embarkation day?
