Thankyou for your replies. Does the above deck Aloha finish above your balcony rail on Baja deck like most ships or does it still tier back. Privacy is not the concern here but just how much coverage there is on the balcony from the deck above.

New to Princess and we are booked on Star Princess early 2016. I would like to know how uncovered are the Mini Suites on the Dolphin Deck (9). Are they totally uncovered with no shade at all (open back to the door) or partially so there would be some shade out from the door. Also anyone who has cruised on the Emerald Deck (8) and stayed in the Aft Mini Suites what was the motion like while cruising also was there any excess noise from the deck below. Would you recommend them.

Thankyou for your replies. We will be cruising out of Santiago and stopping at Lima (Callao) for 3days/2nights giving us the chance to take the excursion. This will be our only chance to do this as there are many more places to see in this world. I am still interested in hearing from anyone on the November 2nd cruise who take this tour. The ship tour is the easiest and if anything unforseen happens the ship will be advised. Doing it yourself will be cheaper for sure and if all goes well there is no problem BUT if it does not what happens. All the replies advising to do it yourself while in port did not have to test this. Sorry plannermargy about your experience this year did you complain when back on board.

Would like to read a review from anyone who is going to be on the 2nd November cruise out of San Diego to Lima return and is going to participate in the excursion to Machu Picchu offered by HAL (2nights/3days). Will be interested in the amount of time spent at the ruins. Also the arrival and departure times at MP by train. Was there enough time to enjoy the ruins.

Am looking at doing the Inca Discovery cruise and while in Lima a 53hr stop HAL offers an excursion to MP departing and returning to Lima. I would like to hear the thoughts from people who have done this excursion and what was the cost. Thankyou

I would like to know from people who have done the HAL excursions on Santorini that went to the town of Oia how much time did you get in Oia and was it enough time. I know on the HAL website you can read reviews but I would like to know from other sources. Thankyou

The process of Disembarking at Santorini is that all ship excursion passengers get off first to land where the tour buses are located and then the ship is repositioned to allow the DIY passengers to get off at another landing site to access the cable car. Is this correct. If this is the case the last ship excursion on our cruise departs at 09:15 meaning it may be another 2 hours before you land at the cable car stop depending on what tender you get on to reach shore. Like to hear from cruisers who have done this and how long did this process take. Ship excursions do have an advantage.

We are in port from 07:00 to 16:00 and look as though we are the only ship in port that day so all should be good.

I would also like to know if the taxi price was a metered price or an agreed

price between driver and passengers. As this is our first HAL cruise when using a tender to disembark do passengers leave the ship on a first come first off process or do people on the ships excursions have priority.

Will be visiting Santorini with HAL in July and only want to spend time in Oia and Thira. The tours go via other places which reduces the time in Oia. Would like suggestions on other reliable ways to do this. Thankyou
