No this isn't true...Adventure Ocean ...Aquanauts 3-5 year olds...for that age group...You will have no problem leaving your little one there until 10:00pm.
Kids club will be a much cheaper option for you [emoji1303]

I have cruised with my little girl every year since she was a year old and Is now coming up 6.
We’ve been on independence twice and going again this year.
When she was younger I carried her to the nursery asleep put her in a cot and went to watch the show. We carried her back to the cabin after and she never knew a thing [emoji16]
Now she loves going to kids club, some nights she dines with us others she goes go to kids club.
We also used the occasional afternoon session so we can use hot tubs or casino etc.
They usually do family activities that you can do together also like kids discos etc so it’s a nice mix.
Any questions please do ask [emoji1303]

This!!! Royal causes this with their kids assume the same tier as their parents policy. I met a couple recently who only brought their teenagers that one time just so that they would be diamond when they cruise on their own if they so desire. And you are right, 80 just isn’t really that much. My daughter is 27 months old and is diamond on her own points but of course is Diamond Plus b/c of us and the policy. I thought they reverted to their points once adults but I thought I read they don’t now and I think that was from bob so that is a very reliable source if it was him that said it.
My wife and I became diamond in pretty short order and really it didn’t take too long for us to make D+. Of course we do cruise a bit but we wouldn’t view ourselves as old by any stretch.
We had a blast when we were gold and still do as D+.
Oh wow! I thought children had same status as parents until an adult and then only acquired the status that they had actually cruised! Wonder when it changed?
Also, I always buy the package, like to relax around the pool in the afternoon with a holiday (vacation) cocktail [emoji484] [emoji16]

Hi everyone! I’m Ellinor from sweden, I’m new here. In three weeks we are going on our first cruise. We will go with Allure. 7 days Haiti-Jamaica-Mexico. We have a little boy who turns one during the sail. What are your best tips for cruising with a one year old? What excursions could you recommend? Anything else we should know?
Thank you!
I think I am on the same cruise as you.
I took my little one on her first Cruise at 13 months and she is now 5. This will be her 6th Cruise so needless to say it went well.
I would say pack lots of wipes and juice as only soda available onboard.
Take a comfy pushchair/stroller so your little one can nap while you enjoy the ship. We found a quiet bar in the evenings and let her sleep while we had a few drinks and used the nursery when we wanted to go to shows. I took her there asleep placed her on their cot and then carried her asleep back to the cabin and she knew nothing about it.
I also took a tiny blow up paddling pool to put in shower tray and used it as a little bath. [emoji1303]

So I have a bit of a dilemma. I upgraded our standard balcony to a JS, getting a hump room on deck 9. I made the mistake of looking to see what other JS's were available and found 4 on deck 6 and 2 on deck 7. The thought of an aft facing JS is really appealing, but the obstruction on the rear of navigator is making it a hard choice.
what would the pro's do?
I love aft cabins nothing better than sitting watching the wake of the ship but have the say last time (on independence) soot was an issue for the first time.
Our feet were always filthy which got trod in to the room and any clothes or towels left out got dirty. Even had bits drop in our drinks [emoji33]

I am thinking of booking Allure of the seas for next summer. On the Eastern Route. My two options are 12196 or the other side 12594. Does anyone have any advice on which side is best so we can see the islands when we dock?
:D
Which did you go for?

We are booked in 12196, what was it like??

I looked up "dirty pop at sea" for 2017 and this year it's Lance Bass and a Halloween thing.
The person I was responding to was saying she's going to be on the "the same cruise" I assume as the OP, but the OP went on a cruise April of 2016.

Hi
I will be travelling with a 3 year old and read there is a play park in walking distance of the port. Is that right?
Thanks in advance

How was this cabin?

Thank you so much! Was just about to swap to 6294 on anthem (which I presume will be the same) for less of an obstructed view, I won't now !

I see there has been previous pics posted of a DO CABIN obstructed by lifeboats. Does anyone know if there have been any of the ones blocked by davits that are classed 75% obstructed?

Any pictures of the rooms from the cabin crawl ?
Yes , I'd particularly like to see a cat DO, obstructed balcony, the ones with the davits (hope that's right?) in front and are classed 75% obstructed if possible.

Below is a photo from a CC member of a DO category. The photo was taken while sitting on the bed. Thought I would post it here for information in case some don't see it.

I wouldn't mind seeing the veranda view of the DO obstructed view veranda cabins on Deck 6. Thanks!
Yes me too particularly those classified as 75% obstructed
Thanks

I agree. Definitely worth a shot.
Thanks guys but there are no more DO grades available on my cruise. Having had obstructed before I didn't think it would be anywhere near as bad as they are!
But hey any view is better than being at work :)
I will keep checking availability.

Thanks Lloyd these pics really add to the excitement! :)
Is there any chance you could get a photo of the obstructed balcony views from deck 6? Especially those with davits right in front
