Thanks.

The blog says FOS.
-
I just saw that on the FB Blog. I thought she wasn't scheduled for a drydock visit until next year, but the post in the blog says she went in on 1-19-19, and not coming out until 3-1-19. That sounds like an extensive drydock.

I just saw where FOS is in drydock and they are cancelling the 2-23-19 sailing. Doe anyone have any information about this drydock visit. Apparently the FOS will stay in drydock until 3-1-19.

It was almost empty every night right around 1st seating and we were told it would be moved next year.

Any idea when next year? The ships we have been on lately with the Concierge lounge on 14 were very nice.

Thank you.

Is the concierge club now on deck 14, or is it still in the original location on deck 10?

Getting a lot of negative flak, but I guess you had to be there to understand. You are not just whining about having a hard time finding a seat. It was a total hot mess. I also bailed after 1 drink on day 2. Gave it a quick look after a bad day one and saw that it was not gonna get any better. Just a mosh pit in there. And yes it was annoyingly loud. Some just have to hold court and shout over others to be heard. Like you, I also spent some time in the schooner, but Boleros ended up being our bar of choice.
We've been on several cruises as a diamond, and the DL is usually an enjoyable time before dinner. Staff talk with you and you can chat with other experienced cruisers in a relaxing atmosphere. None of that this cruise - by far our worst DL experience, but it did not ruin our time. We accepted that this cruise the DL was a waste of time, and moved on.
What I do not understand is the fascination of some folks with getting a seat in there and camping out all night. I thought it was supposed to be a relaxing before/after dinner experience, not an all nighter. Like its a weird competition. I went in for a coffee for DW at about 3:30 one afternoon and some were already staking out their territory for the evening. One guy even said he had to watch his weight so he just stayed in the DL and grabbed snacks and skipped the MDR. Like those 4 plates of tapas and 8 free drinks you get are some kind of diet plan...
I guess I am on both sides of this fence. When it is not crowded the DL is our favorite place to kick off the evening. When its a mad house like last week, we had a great time at a different venue and left the DL to the hardcore, gotta-be-in-there-no-matter-what-and-score-some-free-drinks folks.
For some reason the DL is always crowded out of Galveston. Only one ship to choose from perhaps.

The diamond lounge out of Galveston is always crowded.

Does the Jewel have a section by the pool reserved for Suite Guests similar to what the Voyager and Freedom series ships have?
-
We just sailed Adventure in May and there was a suite breakfast in Giovanni's.
You are given a menu to order from, but staff will make or try to get other items if you ask for it.
Thanks. Without the usual location in Chops I was wondering how they handled this on AOS.
-
Does Giovanni's Table serve breakfast for suite guests on Adventure.
-
Yes. It's actually a sundeck on deck 17 forward above the Solarium. Has it's own bar and nicer lounges.
Thanks.
-
Is there a reserved section for Suite guests at the pools?
-
Not until after dry dock in 2016.
Do you know when that Dry Dock is scheduled for?
-
The Concierge, Nadja, does a great job. Right now she is in the CL until Ricardo comes back from vacation.
Nadja and Ricardo are great!
We went to the CL one night but it was full of Pinnacle guests.

We just got off of the NOS. Diamond lounge was overflowing every night spilling into the Cosmopolitan area. If you want a seat in the DL you better get there when the doors open. We arrived each evening around 5pm and never were able to get a seat in the lounge.
We have sailed NOS twice in the last 6 months, and there was a large number of Diamond, Diamond +, and Pinnacle (Badge Brigade) guests onboard each time.
-
Thank you for the video.
I didn't see much closet space, and the deck furniture looks bad.
We sail in 11730 next September.
-
I was on the NOS last fall and they were doing the same. I inspected the watches and read the fine print. I would stay away from these if I was you. READ THE FINE PRINT.
-
Thanks for the photos.
-
We have 11730 booked in the fall. Looking forward to seeing the pictures. Would you book the cabin again now that you have stayed in it?
-
We sailed her last month. One minor problem with no hot water for first three days in our section of cabins. RCI was proactive and fixed the problem by day three. They compensated us. The ship is beautiful! We had a blast.

I think it is naive to compare the Flu to Ebola. We don't really know how far Ebola could spread here in America. JMO.
We have a cruise on the Triumph in 22 days. Wife and I are considering throwing in the towel because of the very thing happening on the Magic. There are always Dallas people cruising out of Galveston. Call me paranoid, but I would rather err on the safe side.

I retired from that little ole airline based in Atlanta 2 years ago. I am so glad I am not flying anymore, and concerned for my friends that are still flying. There is no doubt we should ban all flights from West Africa NOW!
If Ebola cases start to spread in this country I suspect the Airline and Cruise Industry will be greatly impacted!
We all need to call for our Government to enact a travel ban NOW! Act NOW and ask questions later.
FOS in drydock???

My bad. I misread that it is for 2020.
