  1. Many people love the Western Caribbean cruise specifically for Cozumel and the private island of Labadee and do not get off the ship at all in Jamaica.

Jamaica is doing themselves no favors with repeat tourist business by being so pushy. I FULLY appreciate the low level of economic welfare there, but you cant encourage a tourism economy unless people enjoy themselves and want to return and tell their friends to go.

Most people in Jamaica do Dunn Rivers Falls, which is definitely worth doing once, but even there you have to exit through an open air market maze where you just get continuously accosted.

We are doing that same itinerary on the Allure in Oct, and Jamaica is our Enjoy the Ship day, there is no way I am taking my 8 mo daughter out into town there.

You are right that Falmouth is a misrepresentation of the island, it is 100% a tourist shopping experience, but with mostly non-island stores.

Also, we LOVE Labadee, just think of it as exactly like Typhoon island, it is a private island built for the RCI cruise lines (X, Azumara and RCL) to stop at. We love getting a cabana on the beach and just relaxing the day away (of course minus your weather) If you understand it is not a stop in Haiti, you can accept it more.

  2. Turning 40 - I don't have the picture but I do have the pages from Entourage. I will scan them on Monday so stay tuned.

Yeah I can't sugar coat it - it's small. I like spending a lot of time on the balcony. We had the chairs turned sideways because they had to be.

The balcony really unnerved me because of how narrow it was.

My wife joked it is in keeping with the NYC theme, the small apartments you ind all over the city

  3. One of the best features of the Oasis class was the full ship jogging track. A phenomenal thing where 2.4 laps is a mile, which is incredible, but even more so, the fact that it is in its own space, with one lane for runners and another for walkers.

Yes it remains a tad narrow, such that if you walk side by side chatting you will be inconsiderate to others who want to move faster, but you do not have to dodge people looking for pool lounge spots, or worse, who drag their chairs partway onto the track

Looking at the QotS, it seems like they are going back to the track around the pool concept, meaning if you want to run without having to dodge/knockdown/avoid pool lizards, you must run very early or very late.

    Sad panda.

  4. I've taken it to the pool but have not pushed the depths.

It is a very minimalist case and the screen cover is almost not noticeable when properly installed per instructions.

The video will work under water but you have to start it above water. The capacitive screen doesn't work under water, nut you could still take photos using the volume up button.

  5. Google Lifeproof, it should pop right up, or put www at the front and .com at the end :)

Its a great case so far, though you MUST check the seal every time you drop it (and before you go in water of course). Part of how it handles drops (shock) is that the case can seperate a little when absorbing the blow.

But there are some nice youtube videos demo'ing it in pools and snorkeling.

  6. Think they put it on Oasis now too.... from the RCL page:

    "Starbucks

Allure of the Seas® is home to the world's first Starbucks at sea, a Royal Caribbean exclusive. Whether it's a decadent Caramel Macchiato, a refreshing Frappuccino® Blended Beverage, or a tempting pastry, guests can enjoy all their favorite Starbucks treats right onboard. Also available on Oasis of the Seas®. A la carte pricing."

  7. And nothing I could find one the celebrity site says that you can pay the difference with the premium package. In fact the FAQ specifically says you cannot, but doesn't mention classic or premium.

So you are probably best asking if you will be charged the difference ibefore you order the 24 dollar glass thinking it will only be 12

  8. The machines are more of a way to let them get more wine out quicker, or when the som has stepped out.

We loved cellar masters too. Last year we werent on a drink package and still went there a lot for the flights.

This cruise we will be on a drink package, just means our flights will be all larger glasses.
