We were on the Panorama 02/01/2019. We had 2 formal nights and there was a white party on the 3rd night. I would say about 30% of the people participated.

Thank you very much for your review! I am lucky enough to be going on the Wonder for the second time in three weeks. We just found out we were going two weeks ago. I was interested in the changes as the last time was in 2011. This time it is just the Hubby and I. The kids are seniors at university and high school and are upset that they could not get away when their Dad "scored a deal."  I am excited to try Tiana's as the last time it was Parrot Cay, my least favorite restaurant. Congratulations on your Grand Slam!

My DW and I are going to be on the Royal Princess out of Fort Lauderdale beginning on December 8, 2018. I noticed on the schedule that the ship returns from a cruise on December 1, but there is no indication of her being at sea between December 1 and December 8?

 

Is the ship undergoing maintenance then?

During "wetdock" they are making some updates. We are going to be the first ones to sleep on the new Princess beds! Join the Roll call!

I am very happy about the Princess beds! I was able to sleep on the Princess bed back in March on the Ruby Princess. It is a wonderful night sleep. I even had a couple naps! LOL I am lucky to be on the first cruise after wetdock December 8th.

When we went in May there was a green screen. The photos turned out lovely so we bought it. I haven't bought an embarkation photo in years! Just keep your eyes out. There was one line to board that skipped the photos, and another line to take photos. Enjoy the Bliss is gorgeous.

I am a fan of Hotel current. It is a contemporary clean hotel. They have a park and cruise option with a shuttle to and from the pier. It includes Breakfast and your car is under surveillance while you are cruising. I have stayed there 6 times with the 7th in a couple months.

As a person that was born on an American Air force base in England, I have three certificates. English, birth abroad, and a U.S. I have dual citizenship. It causes confusion everywhere! Please get a passport!

I purchased Meclizine from the pharmacy. It goes by that name. Doesn't need a prescription 25mg chewable tablet works for 24 hours. It is non drowsy and is much cheaper than buying the name brand stuff. I received 100 tablets for under $5.00 from the Costco pharmacy. They also just call it Travel sickness medicine. I take one every day starting the day before the cruise. It is fantastic.

I personally have stayed at Hotel Current 6 times in the last 3 years and have another reservation in October. I am one of the:

"people driving in, arriving late the day before a cruise and getting a cheaper "park and cruise" rate who only want to get a good night's sleep, leave their car parked there to avoid high parking rates at the pier and take a shuttle to and from the cruise--though it is a rather long shuttle ride. And those people have their cars with them, so they can drive to dinner anywhere.

I think it is a great hotel. It is safe, clean, they have a great breakfast included, and great service, I also love the rain shower and the decor. They watch my car and all I do is tip the shuttle driver both ways. It is about a 10-15 minute shuttle ride.

I love staying at Hotel Current. It has a park and cruise, breakfast with a waffle maker, shuttle service to and from the pier and it has suites. They are very reasonable and I love the decor, and service. They have a nice restaurant next door. I have stayed here 6 times in 3 years and will be staying again in October.

Now I am a little nervous. We are flying in 3 days before but our flight home is at 11:20 am the closest one after that was 5 pm. I was not able to get FTTF. I was thinking about trying to get the airport transfer but the flight was before noon so they won't let us book it. Hopefully everything will work out but the stress of Debarkation might just wipe out the relaxation of the cruise!

When I completed my passport renewal last September my passport had been expired for a year and several months. All I had to do was fill out the online form and mail it back with new photos and my expired passport. We were advised it would take 4-6 weeks, I received it back in 2 weeks. I did not have to resend my birth certificate. I need to have a passport as I was born on a US Airforce Base overseas and my birth certificate is actually 3 pages it is very confusing to people who are not used to seeing them. I don't want any chance of not getting to board or not being allowed back.

Bottom line I recommend renewing the passport and birth certificate should not be an issue if it is a renewal.
