Ohhhhh, you will be living the SUITE life!!!

Okay, especially for those who do not have a nice fully outfitted balcony, the Sanctuary is very very nice.

And, I believe that as a SUITE guest, you would have earlier priority boarding.  So you would be able to board and go right up to the Sanctuary and check it out and pick out your loungers.

You can book by the day,  like a sea day or a special occasion day.  Or you can book by the week/cruise, at a discounted rate per day.

I am thinking you have probably looked online to see what it is like.

Here is a link...   (would not let me imbed this)

    On Youtube, search for

PRINCESS CRUISES | SKY PRINCESS RELAXATION AREAS

This is a nice video about the Sanctuary and the Spa.

The rate they mention is for a full Cabana within the Sanctuary.

I looked at your post and see that you will be sailing the Western Med later in the Fall.  So, depending on weather, that would be a deciding factor.   The Sanctuary is def. more popular on warm weather cruises, as cold or rainy weather might not be as enjoyable.

The attendants, if you would like, can be very very attendant.   Greet you as you. approach, help carry anything that you are bringing and help make sure you are settled into your spot.  Bring fresh cold ice-water and then anything else you might require.

I believe you can enjoy the Jacuzzi Hot(warm) Tub,. The Retreat adult pool area is right there as well.  You can wade in to cool off and take a dip.  and of course there is the Retreat bar.

While you might have heard of an exception or two, the Sanctuary is a Sanctuary retreat.

No louder activities are really supposed to be allowed.

Congratulations on your cruise! We would love that itinerary.

Just a few comments to perhaps help with your decision.

The Emerald was our first Princess cruise and is our favorite ship. We have stayed in E731 on the Emerald  three times, twice before it was converted to a communicating cabin and once after. The larger covered balcony was great as we are balcony folks too. You do have a port intensive itinerary(9 out of 12 days!) so I 'm not sure how much balcony time you'll have but you will love the balcony when you're using it. You are at the back of the ship which affords you more privacy but does allow you to 'get your steps in' getting to mid-ship where most of the action is. We never experienced any significant motion problems. We never experienced any significant cigarette smoke problems from the deck below. And we never experienced any noise problems from Club Fusion that is directly below E731 which has been mentioned in previous posts about E731. The only downside for us with E731 is that it is now a connecting cabin. We had very noisy neighbors(I'm being polite!) during our last cruise and it did put a damper on the cruise for us.

Enjoy your cruise wherever you decide to stay.

                Best....

                    Virgil

We try to view the Ships layout and Deck Plans before selecting a Stateroom. I try to stay away from Elevators, Stairs, Working Areas, adjoining rooms and Nightclubs above or below.

In looking at the available cabins on the different dates of that cruise (yes, we might be changing the date too because of pet sitter availability, but that's a different story!), we like the premium balcony cabins with the larger balconies that are half covered and half uncovered... Any thoughts on which of these is better?  C330, C402, C331, C401... in that general area?  None of them are connecting cabins.. I looked at that this time since I had no idea our current cabin was a connecting one!

    Thanks!
