Considering booking Solstice to Alaska in September.  We want to book a verandah, along with 2 other couples.  Any recommendations on cabin locations/decks?  Anything to avoid?  Thanks 🙂

So, tell me about the retreat 🙂  Is it fantastic?  I would love to hear anyone's experience.

I called, and was told while we would have access to the retreat and luminae, we would still have to purchase our drinks.

I'm sure this has been answered, but I am reading conflicting info.  We are booked in a Sunset Veranda Guarantee.  No drinks, tips or wifi were included in the price we paid for the cruise.  If we bid to move up to a sky suite, would it now include our drinks for free?

We are on the Westerdam in September, in a VF cabin 8005.  Any one have some insight?  FlaMariner, you mentioned front of ship on deck 8, which is where we are 🙂

Thanks to everyone for your great advice.  In the end, I changed hotels and will be staying in Rome.  Appreciate the honest feedback on my issue.

Hi all,

We are ending our cruise in Civi on Sunday 9/29 but we don't fly home until Monday 9/30.  I have a hotel reservation at the airport for Sunday night, but we cannot check in until about 2pm.  So, was wondering what options we could take for spending the day in Rome, without going all the way from the port to the hotel first to drop our bags (2 carryons and 2 checked for 2 people) for the day before heading back to Rome.  Are there any suggestions?  

We ended up with 15022.  Limited options only on 15 and 16, so fingers crossed.  This is our first time on MSC!

any thoughts on which is better?

This is our embarkation port.  Just called MSC, and this option won't be feasible as we have to be onboard by 5pm no later.  I guess I'll just book a private transfer.

We are taking the express train to Civi from Rome, with an arrival time of 4:48pm.  Our ship (MSC Divina) departs at 7pm.  Is this cutting it too close?

Has anyone been to the Freeport Junakanoo Beach Resort in the past few weeks (post hurricane)? Can you give me an idea of the situation there? Still worth going? Conditions etc? Thanks in advance!
