  1. We used to cruise Princess exclusively and enjoyed active participation on roll calls. When we switched to HAL, we noticed very little roll call participation.

It’s too bad because we’ve learned a lot while reading the postings, such as pricing changes, ship pointers, and other items that worked to our advantage.

I think it is as others have said that it is a result of the older demographics of HAL passengers.

  2. It's HAL's online information centre. You do not need to pay for internet to use it.

You can access it on board (laptop, ipad, smart phone, etc.) and it gives some information on programming on board, allows you to check your on board account, etc.

    Thank you.

I’ve used the Princess version of this and found it to come in very handy.

Can you view MDR daily menus on Navigator?

  3. I note that the original post was regarding coffee...

If you are four or five star use your room card to get 50% off at the Coffee Bar.

With the Navigator app you can check your every day charges online - no charge.

We also buy/use beverage cards for beverage other than coffee to reduce posting to account.

  4. We’ve cruised with Princess over 30 sailings and been Elite for quite some time.

    No more.

We were on the CB recently and found the food to be terrible and the entertainment just repeats that we have seen on other sailings. To top it all off, we were locked out of our cabin 3X. Only after demanding a cabin change were we moved. I’ve never been so stressed on a cruise. It was just awful. So, we’re all done with Princess.

Right now we hold three bookings with HAL and are hoping for better results.

  5. We were on the CB for the 10day Panama Canal three weeks ago. Very disappointed. After three attempts to fix our cabin door lock, we were moved to a new cabin. The best food on the ship was Planks for breakfast. Dining room food was poor.

Best entertainer was a veteran comedian we had seen on other Princess ships. Overall a very disappointing sailing.

  6. We used Uber a month ago at 10am from hotel to cruise port. The driver didn’t speak English and got lost. The final fare was 3X the original quote. We paid for his education of how to get to the port. Uber was unsympathetic and refused to adjust the fare. It’s the hotel shuttle for us next time.
