Copper, I didn't know that you were the source for this knowledge!
Who will be running the ship and etc. on the Oosterdam, March 13? :)
Thank you so much for the info :)

I'm anticipating a very good experience on HAL this time, in regards to the food.
After our unfortunate experience last time, HAL has indicated to us that they are very interested in preventing that from happening again. I'm either the worst PITA they've ever had, or our cruise with them was truly an anomoly. I'll assume it was an anomoly.
Watch this space :D for further details after we return. Hopefully, it will be with accolaides for HAL. ;)

We loved the food on Princess.
-
But, seriously. I don't want to have to spend $6 for every foo-foo drink. So, I should bring my blender, right?
Right?

When we sailed on Princess, we had the Anytime Dining.
However, since we had special dining requests (Vegan), the head waiter was very happy to assign us to a particular table (for 2!), with the same waiters, at the same time each evening, in order to be able to coordinate the kitchen's efforts to accommodate our dietary restrictions.
This worked out very well for us.
I had/have the view that Anytime dining is very similar to eating in nice restaurants. Reservations are not required, but are very good to have, if you want to eat at a particular time!

what is a pop-up hamper?
Silly... it's where you put your dirty pop-ups!
Okay, in seriousness, it's a hamper that "pops open" when released from its restraints. You can pick them up at most trendy places, like Ross, or Kmart, or even W-llmart. They pack flat, then when you release them, they open up and hold themselves open, so you can toss the grungies into them. Lots of people like them for cruising.

Refining the order of importance? ;)

We had our door decor up, plus a short string of peace flags, and we also used sticky notes to post a "Joke of the day"... usually something really corny.
Never thought anyone noticed, until the last day, when we were approached by a room steward (not ours), who thanked us, and said that everyone stopped to see what we'd post! it made their trip a little more interesting :p
Okay, we're gonna do MORE on our next cruise... it's good to brighten someone's day! (check out my photos for pictures of the door art, etc.)

Sad part is, i'll be posting my own picture of the craziest thing. Another picture that i will be adding is me in a speeedo (yep, another lost bet). Also me in a mullet wig. I make for my own crazy moments. It takes all kinds right??? :D
We are twins, separated at birth, obviously...;)

This is a great thread!
My 5 are:
- Small backpack to take into port (for hands free shopping!)
- Lanyard for my seapass and driver's license
- Blankie
- Pillow
- sunblock and lots of it (I'm a redhead):p
DON'T punch a hole in your drivers license to carry it on a lanyard! That will invalidate it!

I had to do a search on Pure Green. I always travel with hand disinfectant, but this stuff is and anti-fungal and anti-viral too? I wonder where you buy it in Canada.
I've got some CleanWell hand sanitizer... it's available at Target, and online (do a search for CleanWell). No toxins.
I'll look at Pure Green, too :D

What planet are you from? a lesbian couple is just that, a lesbian couple. There is no "he."
Here I always thought that travel broadened the mind.
