Hello everyone, I just came across this forum and saw it interesting. I am currently living in Panama City so I've driven past the port many times. Ships dock there however the main port building is not finished, people are still boarding via busses and ramps. I am not sure about any specific cruise line check in procedures as I have not boarded a ship from here but I am pretty knowledgable about the rest.

Thanks very much for sharing this information. Are you able to shed any light on one question that several of us have, which is where we would go to meet the buses that take us out to the pier? Put another way, where would we have a taxi drop us off? I realize the details might vary depending on the cruise line, but even a general sense of how the process works is helpful. Thanks again!

Does anyone have any information on whether we can cancel, get the FCC, and then use it to rebook the cruise we just cancelled -- at the current lower rate with all the promos? I know it's a "future" cruise credit but I haven't been able to find any terms and conditions. Thanks.

I called NCL and the rep said that the FCC can be used for the one you cancelled. Of course, cancelling a reservation means you have to start from scratch when making a new one, and since the FAQ says it takes a week for the credit to appear, odds are you won't get the same cabin, but if that doesn't matter than it may be something to consider.

  3. I'd like to invite everyone who'll be the 8/22 Getaway sailing to come on over to the Roll Call and join your fellow cruisers here on Cruise Critic! Just go to the Getaway section of the NCL Roll Calls and look for "Norwegian getaway august 22 - 29 2015" -- or click on this handy link: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2141658

Hope to see you there, and on board! :)

  4. This may come to late for you,but we took this tour last month. It was very fun, safe and the staff are wonderful. Its a must!! This is family owned. It included our lunch local beer, and transportation.

They have provided us with pictures of our tour sent to our email.

And yes, there is plenty of shopping outside the pier.

    Get going!!

Hi-- Can you tell us the name of the place (both the beach and the restaurant) where they provided lunch? We've booked a 9:00 Segway tour but didn't include the lunch. $20pp seems a little high even for a good burger, salad and beer, but if there's a great view or other pluses to recommend it, we might bite (pun intended) anyway.

And if other people have other lunch suggestions, I'm happy to hear them! Thanks! :)
