Has anyone visited the Bacardi Factory recently? We'll be visiting San Juan on Dec 4th and one of our party mentioned doing the tour.

Thanks for sharing your review. We watched an YouTube video about Taino Bay and you confirm what they showed. The YouTube showed a last minute excursion counter in the port area. We will be there next month.

We were on this cruise also and agree that it was a wonderful trip. Great weather and a very sociable group of passengers. We enjoyed the enthusiasm of the "washy-washy" ladies and the musicians were excellent all around the ship.

Thank you for the help. We will look into Rowe's Wharf and taxi.

We are considering taking the red-eye into Boston the morning our cruise departs. We would get in about 6am and would like to drop off our luggage before doing some walking around. How early would the port be open? This would be our first time flying in on departure day and have many qualms about doing so. Thanks in advance for any info.

We were on the Dawn in November and had a great cruise.

Any specific problems with this cabin? -The shower is a tub/shower combo (which we knew) but could be was difficult to enter/exit, especially if there was much rocking. Something to consider if there are mobility issues.

We're on the re-positioning cruise leaving Boston November 3rd and received an email today saying we will be disembarking in San Juan and we will be visiting 5 ports. More info to follow.

Thanks for all the replies. I knew I could count on all of you. I'm trying to avoid the mega-ships but some people seem to like them. Hopefully there will be more options available soon. We were hoping to take advantage of the current "Free at Sea" promo but there will be more promos coming, I'm sure.

DH and I have spent the weekend looking for a cruise to book for Sept-Nov 2017. We would like a 10-12 day Caribbean but can only find a (very) few 7 day trips. We were on the NCL Sun a couple years for a 10 day Southern which we loved but aren't able to find anything similar. Maybe the schedules aren't set yet? Or are all the ships somewhere else now? We have a future cruise credit to use so don't want to try another cruise line. We've enjoyed our three previous NCL cruises. I "haunt" this forum constantly so I'm sure someone will know.

My husband and I are both fairly serious bowlers (averages 196 and 220) and bowled the first time we were on the Pearl but didn't even mention it the second time. It was fun for a one time thing but nothing like bowling anywhere else. Even if it were allowed, bringing personnel equipment would be a waste of space in the cabins. The lanes are not conditioned and we were excited to get a spare in the 5th frame. Bringing your own bowling shoes might be a good idea as the house shoes didn't slide. The bowling fees were expensive so not really worth it to bowl poorly.

We were on the Sun for 11 days last October. Every evening we would enjoy sunset on the aft deck of the Great Outdoors and then go up to Las Ramblas for (complimentary) tapas before dinner.

I've enjoyed reading everyone's lists and have been writing down things I'll need in October. One thing I didn't see mentioned is an extension cord. If you sleep with a CPap as I do you might need it. On our last cruise, the outlets were on the opposite wall from the bed. I plugged the extension cord into our power strip for the night and unplugged it during the day.
